Funny Bill and Dale were down south this weekend and we have had the best w/e surf in months .

Surfed Preso Bay Friday , Stanley Saturday , Crayfish Creek Sunday and Monday . Fun weekend .

Do you have any idea how much you are shltting me right now ?
I'd have given anything for a NW sesh over the weekend instead of driving down that boring bloody hwy.

Next sunday it had better be pumping at Presso '

Some very nice A frames at the bowl this morning .
2 SUPs and half a dozen long boarders / short boarders only .
Somebody has to do it!

Its a shame the bowl waves have nothing in common with scamander rivermouth - you guys are in trouble next week.

pretty similar this week .

I see Scamander surf rating today is 1 , looking out the window Burnie would rate a 0 ( bigger surf in the bath tub this morning )

so pretty similar waves at Scamander and Burnie today

love the look of those paddles 2MT , do you handmake those

Just back from a 3 hour session at the river . Only shoulder high today, I'll give it a 5.3 out of 10 . 2 SUPs out , Temp. 7 degrees .

a balmy 7 degrees , that's tropical compared to our conditions up here

better acclimatize though I see its supposed to be rather chilly on the weekend of the 22

wondering whats the water temp down south at the moment

Water temp at Clifton is 14.6 degrees C. A balmy 17 degrees air temp. Yesterday but not cold in the water today thanks to no wind and Mr O,Neil .

I have contacted Surfside, Beaumaurice.

They are OK but advise that bookings are recommended.

It is on Sat evening and there will be a few other diners about.

I will be making a bulk booking so if you want me to include
your party then please advise me on:-

You can of course make your own bookings direct, but I
would like to get an indication of the numbers in advance
if at all possible.

geez there would be some carnage if the comp was on this weekend , talking 6-11 foot surf at Scamander Saturday and Sunday

forecast for 22 at this stage flat to 4 foot

, more my size

Bugger was hoping you blokes from down south were all big wave chargers and the small forecast would scare you off .

My predictions for the weekend are (1) Friday night the hawks will kick the eagles butts
(2) Saturday I will have lots of spare time after being knocked out in the 1st heat

Latest prediction from magic seaweed is a 1 star 1-2 foot swell with a gentle offshore breeze

Make 'em suffer.

But the fact that there's not a big
swell predicted means that the big
wave chargers .. with whom we have
been negotiating .. won't be tempted
to go elsewhere .. so we might get
Kyron .. Danny ..Tyler .. etc. .. they'll
have little else to do .. mow the
lawns .. tune up the jet ski .. etc.

Unsure exactly where we are staying.. Any suggestions guys? I'll have my family with me .. What's the hotel like ? I'd prefer to have them close as possible. Not sure re presso as we have a new baby girl and I don't think the mrs will be to social into the evening.. I'll come over for a couple of beers of course.
