If you were in the comp and want pics of yourself surfing, either email me, or contact Tassiesup.
Lots of pics available of everyone in the comp - everyone who caught waves anyway .
Happy to send as a thanks to everyone who supported the comp!

Great event! Thanks to everyone who organised and supported the comp, how damned good were the conditions?!!!

Big thanks to the surfing crew that were frothing on the same break, but understood we were in a comp and let us get away with some pretty serious wave hogging!!

It's great to have got the Tassie win, but the Mexican who escaped across the border from Vic did take the day, well done to Courtney! You were tearing it up. Nice of you to hand over the championship trophy n all, but you did win it mate. I appreciate the gesture all the same.

Next time just grow the correct number of heads to take the Tassie win too!!

We're hoping to lift the profile of this event
leading into next years Winter Classic

So far it's been called the TassieSUP thing

But we're hoping to attract more interstate entrants

and hoping to get a naming sponser.

Is there anyone out there with any ideas .. or contacts.

Any help/advise appreciated.

Whats wrong with the way it is ?

SIMPLE, not enough people paying entry fees
to cover the judges and other expences.
It's best if an organation can pay it's way .. otherwise
before long those that are carrying the costs pull out
and the show ceases to exist.

Holding a contest in the summer months would boost numbers. Also needs to be clarification of eligibility for state titles otherwise each state will end up running the Australian Titles separately .

So why doesmt the sup state titles get run at the same time as the longboard titles then there are sufficient numbers to pay the judges and fill all divisions. It would also allow sup'ers and loggers to enter each others divisions as many would own both types of board.

Personally I reckon it was a great weekend and all who attended well and truly got their moneys worth.

Special THANKS to Isabelle

who took 3500 photos at the surf comp

That's right .. 3500 photos

Every wave, of every heat, sequenced at one second intervals.

And every competetor is in the process of receiving
a disc containing all the photos of all their rides.

How good is that.

Well done Issey .. and THANKS again.

Hi guys. Just wanted to let you know the two Coreban boards I had on Sunday are available for anyone to try out in the surf. That's the two cool green ones - 9'6" Performer and 9' Bomb.

Recieved my CD of photos via Dave Smith yesterday. Great shots and it's easy to see from the photos where poor technique and paddle placement creep in. Thanks so much Issabelle for the photos and the effort, I very much appreciate it. What an epic day!!

An 8' 11" lithium , must be closer to the camera to look longer than the Fanatics . The red one is an 8'3" custom I think.
