Sorry fellas but I must of missed something. Went down to the beach to check out what was going on about 10 o'clock and nobody in sight. Where do you think you will be tomorrow?

The surfing comp' was held at 4 mile today and there will be social races from 9.30am sunday at Pelican Sands in Scamander

Well Done to the winners, place getters, and everyone who had a go.

Awesome state race title held this morning also.

Hopefully someone has better pics than these - although check out
TDs little tacker giving the big people a run for their money.
A very very fun event - will definately be more of these style of races run down here.












Every single paddler who started the race got a prize for competing, so I cannot thank enough the generous sponsors/donators.

WINTER SOLSTICE TASSIE SUP CHAMPIONSHIPS

2013 WINTER SOLSTICE TASSIE SUP TITLES ON OUR AWESOME EAST COAST

In beautiful full winter sunshine, Surfing Tasmania conducted the first SUP State Championships in 1 to 2 metre pumping surf at beautiful Four Mile Beach.
A small but very enthusiastic SUP crew began arriving at Scamander during the week to enjoy the east coast low solid surf at a range of locations around Scamander. Expectations for the Saturday event were high and it did not disappoint with waves happening through to Sunday. All SUP surfers had every opportunity to build solid scores with plenty of waves all day.
Victorian SUP surfer Courtney Dalton ran riot on his bright red 10kg carbon high performance board with a full repertoire of power moves and great wave selection from his first heat to win the final in style. Dalton wins the Tassie Title but is not eligible to represent Tasmania in the National Championships at Currumbin in November. Selection for that position and others will be decided over the next few weeks.Many thanks to sponsors and the Surfing Tasmania crew, Head Judge Sticky Richardson, Tank Gray,Scott Gray and Shayne Clark who guided the keen SUP surfers in the fine art of judging throughout the day. Dave Smith and Tony Leitch were great support, assisting in a range of tasks throughout the day opening an exciting new chapter in competition surfing in Tasmania.

Well done you guys and thanks for the eleven solid pages of fun and entertainment. You really are a happy little group aren't you. Even though I have never met any of you, I have corresponded with TassieSup from time to time, it seems to me that you guys put into practice all hat SUPPing and Surfing hope to embody. That is having fun and enjoying the stoke.
Let's hope that other groups around can emulate your stoke.
Oh by the way. I took my TassieSup discount card to a SUP retailer today and when I asked him for my TassieSup discount he well and truly told me where to go!!
Me thinks that I might have been conned.

Sorry to hear about your experince ET, we do advise that you can use your TassieSUP Discount Card at all reputable SUP merchants, if you choose to shop at some dodgy 3rd rate tigharse SUP merchant I don't think we can be held responsible, however because you have supported us in the past we will have our own Qld enforcer "Spencer" drop round and have a friendly word to the particular merchant.
