Wahoo...I'm a full Monty Wally sailor

Out on the official board and sail

Thanks for the rigging tips ...
Had a late afternoon session, OMG

got to get use to the on and off nature of the sail
Im probably lazy as I usually rig big with cams and this helps me with my 'gumby' balance issues (old and fat)
usually I can use the sail as a prop. Found I had to be real careful to keep the sail full and engaged if I wanted to remain stable. Handling the whack as the sail fills on rotation after a gybe had me in the water a few times

I have been using a cam sail previously and was enjoying my gybe progress on the LT, found the Wally sail very humbling = lots to learn
More practice today =Lake Cootharaba is calling

cheers Jeff
ps had similar board speed to my wife on a starboard Rio long tail (3+ metres x 85cm) using superfreak 5.5 Dacron sail
-LT was much better on the upwind
