Yeah same here, you could hardly even see your feet.

One thing that I liked, you hardly had to do any paddling to get out, I was only paddling about 2/3rds of the way out and then just sitting up and the wind took me the rest of the way.

He must be in a bad way.

My mum is in this village where they have all that stuff already set up, but for now she's very independent in her own 2 bedroom place.

She's 86 and just loves it there and because it's in the area where she was born and grew up, there's other people in the village that she went to kindergarten with.

Hey Mac
Best wishes for some trying times ahead mate.
We got some nice little sliders down there this morning I sat a bit wide of LM and just waited for the occasional one to slip through and got rides to GM.
I have a question for you I have just changed the original fin in my redline to a bigger fluid foils fin I had lying around ,the question is where do you measure a fin I would like to find out what size it is
cheers Boof

Cheers boofy for your very kind words mate, even though we have not met it means the world. So when we do hook up at paradise point its all yours for the picking

Just returned home a very disappointed man,as your said it looked good this morning and I was too lateLooks like an arvo on the lounge watching the Moto GP.

On fin measurements, once the fin is installed into the boxrun the tape from the board to the highest point of the fin.

The Redlines come standard with a 10 inch fin,on my last Redline I dropped a 9 inch in it and it worked for me but my new Redline I picked up last week has the 10 and after seeking advice I am going to stick with it and adjust my surfing to suit both the board and fin.

Hope this is of some help.

I'm pretty sure you measure straight up or vertically from the board to the tip. Don't worry about the curve or the shape, it's just the height from base to tip you need.

And don't measure the bit inside the board either.

Hey BB
When you say North Kingy do you mean the southern side of Fingal headland "Dreamtime" I think it could be alright early if the swell stays easterly but I think it is forecast to go southerly. I havent surfed those spots since last summer I find myself drawn to LM and GM or The Pass especially with all the weekdays I have off now.We didnt make it to Corrindi due to new job but still have deposit on camp sites as soon as things settle down we are there

I guess you already know that it's best to keep the sticker on the board.

Some vintage board guys place a lot of importance on those.

Hey Obct
Yes thanks for the tip mate I will not do anything to it till I get someone with some knowledge to look at it its going to need a new fin and my mate said it had a rubber bumper attached to the rails which has come off but I am thinking it would have been installed by whoever hired the boards out in Manly at the time I am still trying to ring him to go and get it

I'm assuming the sticker looks something like this.

www.surfresearch.com.au/ags.html

If it's just some rental company logo then it's probably not worth keeping.

Hey mate - was just thinking up near the northern c/park on the open beach. I will only surf GM if it and cooly are do-able cos I don't really like LM. Not sure where to hit in the morning early.

Hey mac - na, its never been a real favourite unless there is absolutely nothing else on offer.

However - tom and I had a sic surf this morning - very punchy and consistent and head high on the sets - wooooooooh hoooooooooo best I have surfed for a very very very long time. (except for one horrendus wipeout which gave tom no end of joy)
