He was a very talented shaper.

I had one of his old competition boards once, it went real well until I snapped it, I stuck back together again and kept using it for a bit longer.

63 is far too young, he had a lot more waves left in him.

didn't surf today but watched 2 mates surfing asea's bank while i was lunching and it was 2ft rollers,can't wait to hit it tomorrow.As for sat baby sitting sun??

Hey mac - C/A was fantastic this morning. I took the missus down for a surf and met up with the palmy crew and they surfed for a couple hours on clean and punchy little peelers and I took photos - great morning had by all.
My 9.4 Dino Miranda is on its way up from Byron as we speak. Have to wet its head at dawn 2moro before the sat' crowd hits.

One of those days. Checked the surf report, not encouraging. Went to the usual beach break, OK swell but no shape, as usual. Thought, we'll keep going to mandurah, it was a nice day for a drive if nothing else.
What's going on no one out and a bit of swell, offshore and a beautiful day. two of us went out, no one else around and spent two hours having one of the best surfs I've had in a long time. Great little lefts that went on forever and had enough push to get a lot of turns and a few noserides.
The bigger ones about chest high, maybe a bit more. We both scored quite a few waves (me into double figures) and we could afford to be choosy and catch our breath after a long paddle back out.
One of those days that gets the stoke back and gets you amped for the next session.

Needed a Nanna Nap after that.

Yes mate, thats the one. Had a little outing this morning at vikings but not enough to get any real idea of how the board goes. Fingers crossed for next week maybe.

today we had nice offshore winds and 2-3ft of surf along the beach breaks,but i had trouble getting my jumper off as we goldies aren't use to cool weather.Unfortunately tomorrow is going to be smaller so either an old mal or a long noserider should do the job.Happy Surfing.MAC & BB had any waves as i've been at asea's bank up north.

And Doggie i reckon it will be here to stay,after all we are all surfers and what do we say to each other ? any SWELL.

Well well well,the swell kicked in overnight LL was a nut house [}:)] 3 to 4 foot and all down the line stuff, very happy mac The Razar turned into a Fireball Bring on the UFO [}:)]

Not to good at looking at long swell predictions and am thinking of hitting up Byron Friday for a few days however it would drive me nuts if the wind is from the north and there is no swell,anybody know what maybe on offer this weekend in that neck of the woods

You just beat me to it mac. Surfed maccas this morning and it was pretty good, if not a bit straight at times. Only about waist high but nice and clean with some nice little reform lefts into the beach. It was bloody crowded though ! I honestly didnt expect anyone to be out but bugger me there were about 15 on it at 0600. May check it again 2moro but got a feeling it will be dead flat.
