RSC, you are my hero!!!!!
Do you give private lessons?
I pride myself on being independent and the master of my own thoughts but I must admit that if I was getting continuously abused and red thumb for my views in a public forum, I would probably retrieve in my hole for a little while and have a little think about why everyone else think diferently (the sheep syndrom).
Not you, my man, you are strong, commited, assertive and simply amazing.
no hero business. no private lessons. i simply demonstrate how to fish. if you are serious, then good on you. i'll give you a little 'reward' and encouragement. but do take care, as you can see, when dealing with social intercourse in
public places, one must always be prepared for the percentage of the population that are customers of the mental health system (or aught to be). and even so, sometimes one can be surprised by the uneven distributions of the cohort across domains. i had seen the term 'risktakers' before in internet dating systems (usually with a big
NO associated with it). now i think i know why.
but in any case, if you know the science of strategic timing and are dispassionately committed to responsible action then a small effort can make a difference. there is always 'blowback' but it can be managed if you know how. once you understand the difference between signal and noise -- and the principles of karma yoga (
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma_yoga) -- then you can work through almost any situation.
it just needs engagement and for that one needs to know the type of monkeys in the tree and what type of nuts and bananas they prefer. this comes from observation and testing (including of oneself). the key is knowing when to start, pause and stop.
in spain bulls chase red flags and get skewered. perhaps i'm colour blind?

kyberneties is greek for steering: one just needs to know how to steer by setting the trimtab which is oneself. everything else then must, by the laws of nature, adjust it/themselves.
---quote (from another place) ---
"Call Me Trimtab” is inscribed on the late Buckminster Fuller’s tombstone.
Here is his explanation of what he meant by it:
“Something hit me very hard once, thinking about what one little man could do. Think of the Queen Mary — the whole ship goes by and then comes the rudder. And there's a tiny thing at the edge of the rudder called a trimtab.
It's a miniature rudder. Just moving the little trim tab builds a low pressure that pulls the rudder around. Takes almost no effort at all. So I said that the little individual can be a trimtab. Society thinks it's going right by you, that it's left you altogether. But if you're doing dynamic things mentally, the fact is that you can just put your foot out like that and the whole big ship of state is going to go.
So I said, call me Trimtab.” --- end quote ---
(see
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trim_tab )
btw: the interesting question for me here is: do kites have trimtabs and would such innovations add power performance efficiency? i only claim 10% for inspiration.
