It's funny....and it's sad too.
This thread contains a lot of posts from poleys who are just having a bit of a harmless chuckle.
Chuckleheads.
lol.
But there are also some folks (I won't name names) who are really showing their true colours.
The tone is so obvious that it's cringeworthy.
These are the real haters, these are the twisted mo-fo's.
These are the evil-poleys who wish unpleasant things upon kitesurfing....
like bans and bad-vibes.
Maybe it's just like how some malibu-riders really hate shortboard surfers.
Maybe polesurfing is the longboard....and kiting is the shortboard of windsports....
......and then along comes something called stand-up paddleboards.
ArrrHHhhhhhhhh
Hi Waveslave. Guess you're referring to me.

Yes I have had a rather nasty run in with a Kiter, but generally don't have many problems with kiters - there is generally plenty of room for kiters and poleys where I normally sail and most kiters are fairly normal cool people but some, well there is definitely the "look at me set into kiting".
Seems to me a few of you are rather touchy on the subject of bans - so I just love stirring the pot a little and it works

- the best thing about the internet is that often you cannot workout if someone is saying things to stir or are serious, some people are so easy to upset

. Personally I don't care if kiting gets banned or not, but the next run-in I have due to total incompetence and neglect of others safety will result in complaints to the right authorities. But really, you guys should be more self-regulating otherwise the sport will endup with nowhere to go.
So chill-out Waveslave and enjoy the banter.
PS: rather than "shoot the messenger" why don't you work on solving the problem - otherwise people will think you are always defending the kooks in your sport, and that will be the view of all outside the sport - you should really be trying to solve the cause, that means removing the kooks behaviour from your sport. But a few of you guys do seem to be rather more concerned about what gets written and how to downplay it or put a positive spin on it rather than removing that cause - hmmm sounds like a politicians antics.
