al-CIA-da operative tim osmond, oops, I mean Osama Bin Laden has been dead for years, most likely from renal failure, for which he was receiving treatment at a us military base (which his family was contracted to cronstruct) hospital when the 911 attacks occured

You can't win with conspiracy idiots.
A couple of years ago the conspiracy nutters said that Osama bin laden was already dead and therefore the "War on Terror" was based on a lie, so they concocted a photo to show him dead. The photo was quickly proven to be fake. It didn't shut them up.

Now that he really is dead the conspiracy nutters produce the same bogus photo that they made 2 years ago and say that it's taken by the americans to show osama is dead, and since it's easy to show it's a fake then osama wasn't killed and it's still a conspiracy.

The fact is, there is no proof good enough to a conspiracy nut that will convince them that what they believe is just plain rubbish.

Is that possible? Just talk to a mormon.

The WMD conspiracy turned out to be true and so did the Iraq terrorisum threat, children overboard, muslim overboard (the Dr on the Gold Coast) vietnam attack which triggered the war, Jessica Lynch and the coroner still can't find any evidence anyone died at the Pennsilvania crash (911), they can't even find any plane wreckage. Every step of the way the coalition has been proven to be lying. Maybe its true, maybe its not, time will tell.

Pweedas does have a point though... What proof is proof enough for a conspiracy theorist to change their viewpoint?

It seems they consistently see a conspiracy with everything, not just one thing.

The problem is with the term "conspiracy theorist". It is used so loosely but in an all encompassing manner, to the extent where anyone who is sceptical of what is thrown at us by the mainstream media is labelled a conspiracy theorist.

The mainstream media constantly and deliberately distorts the truth on so many issues. If you do not accept this, consider newpapers as an example. Newspapers are the largest advertising tool available to commerce and attract advertising from every avenue of life. By and large this eliminates their capacity to deal with any contentious issue surrounding goods and services advertised by them.

If you believe that their owners are politically impartial it is time to change the nappy.

So we are constantly bul****ted to. Lies and distortion of truth have become such an integral part of modern day living that you leave yourself vulnerable if you do not attempt to sort out the **** from the clay. What clown believes anything a politican says today? And they are supposedly the bastions of society!

When you understand that what we are told is not necessarily the truth, it makes it easy to look at both sides of an argument. When someone like John Faine on the ABC tries to ridicule events of 911 without offering any logic, I discard his opinions.

When someone like Congressman Ron Paul questions the fed, I listen. When someone like Alan Sabrosky puts his cock on a block and offers an argument indicating that Mossad was involved, I listen.

See, these guys have credibility, connections and experience.

They are not just avatars!

Not sure why everyone is saying there's no pics? I found them easy ( google search) at 6 this morning. On a Chinese military site I think. Looked like binladen and definitely dead. You see the entry wound ect. Was abit skeptical with the " buried at sea" bit but apparently it's custom for them to be buried within 24 hrs of assassination.
I think the interesting thing will be pakistans explanation of the whole thing. He was living 500 mtrs away from the military college, no sh$t!!?!? Also his neighbors were all ex military generals ect. The explanations are going to be gold.

No! Not at all.
I am also very doubtful of the accuracy of much of what I see on tv or in the press.
However, I don't then make up some alternate explanation of events and then fail to apply the same tests of validity to the alternate explanation that I apply to the official explanation.
And that's the big difference.
It's a case where the conspiracy nutter chokes on a minnow but can somehow swallow a whole whale without so much as a burp.

When they apply the same critical analysis to their own crackpot theories that they apply to the official explanations I will hold them in much more respect.
Somehow I don't expect that to be any time soon.

Why the feck do they afford him the honour of "a proper Muslim burial"?

Don't want to upset them with disrespect now do we??

Strategically it was probably the best thing to do but I would have fed him to the dogs.

^^^ Good find PR, words that should have been quoted by the current president in his speech instead of bantering about how the USA have spent billions of dollars & wasted many innocent lives so they can finally say that they "killed" one man (in a very questionable scenario) in revenge of a terrorist attack that also has questions surrounding it about who was actually responsible.

Obama can thank past leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr for his presidency & position of power.

Words spoken by a true leader...instead of

Q:Did USA finally get its revenge by killing Osama?
A: (Obama) "YES WE CAN DID"

Q:Will this now stop/reduce terrorism, and troops can finally come home because without Osama there will surely be peace in the Mid-East which would have been the intention of sending troops over there in the first place?
A: (Not feckin likely!)

That's a pretty wise quote.

BUT, I can understand why people celebrated; I am not condoning it, but imagine if down town Sydney suffered a 9ll @ttack, or Melbourne - that would be pretty scarring to the psyche - doesn't matter how hard you are, and you'd be pretty happy if they got the dude who did it.

What would Rick James do?

Rules of warfare do not guarantee a fair trial. It's quite acceptable to just shoot the enemy.
It is well known that Bin Laden had declared holy war on America and Western society many times.
He got what was coming to him.
He was just lucky that it took 15 years to catch up with him.

But you are right that as a species we are "savages at heart".
That's the only reason we survived.
If not for that we would have gone the way of the neanderthals who were not quite as savage, mean and nasty as we are.

Agree with you on this one Pweed. My reservation is that the ole boys from USA entered Pakistan without clearing customs. Did they declare war on Pakistan? without a public declaration of war.

You know, the first thing that struck me as weird! Was that they got rid of his body so so fast? WHY?

They say because it's Muslim custom, but I recall the US having that Muslim son where they kept his body for 11 days before giving it back to the nation. I'm not saying Osama is not dead, maybe he was tortured and they don't want anyone to know, but the whole deal is strange how it went down.
