Triple the income tax free threshold. Tick. Correct on that one.
In other words, this is in part a scheme to redistribute income from energy users to Labor voters.

No it doesn't. In fact it
widens the tax base by reducing the dependancy on income tax and instead gathering that money from elsewhere (ie the CO2 emitters).
Honestly, if this was really published as an article in WSJ then you'd just have to shake your head and wonder. How did one of the world's most respected newspapers sink so quickly to the level of being toilet paper?
