Great spot Gravy 7!
I really like how the bush comes right down to the waters edge in the Sydney area.
A bit limited up the creeks for sailing though.
Nice looking boat.

Must be middle of the week in winter, no-one gets a mooring in Pinta Bay! All the liveaboards and houseboats always seem to be there.
It is one of the most secluded, and beautiful, spots in the world. Not sure which icon fills the emotion for green with envy, but put me down for one.

I couldn't agree more.

On approach to Deal is. Been out of range for a while now. Went for a sail across Bass Strait on Storm Bay, not my boat but as crew. Had a great time. The journey finished for me on Sat after two weeks at sea.
the boat is a restored fishing boat built in Tas in 1925. Has a wet well and we had 5 cray pots on board with a Tas pot lisence for each crew member. Will post more pics of the adventure we had

Sorry about the pic above. Seems like i can't edit it to fix it up.
A few more pics from the journey to the Tas wooden boat festival.
The boats anchored in East Cove on Deal.

A hint of what the Mornington Peninsula looked like before European occupation and the Shea Oak trees where cut down for the lime kilns and firewood for Melbourne Town:

The cray was a bit underdone when steamed so....throw another shring on the barby

Sailed up the Brisbane River to Brisvegas today, with an incoming tide (unlike last time). Nice spot next to the Botanic Gardens.

After provisioning in nelsons bay had pleasant if short sail around to salamander bay, away from the roll, the lights and the Barnical mooring. Very nice.

Sailed from Mooloolaba this morning - beautiful, but calm conditions.
Ended up tackling Wide Bay Bar with a 25 - 30 knot Nor Easter, fun times!
9.8 knots top speed, not bad for a live aboard cruiser.
Now anchored in Pelican Bay.

Just completed the Sabre State Titles down here in sunny Tassie!!

Blew like stick on Saturday, only got one race in. Was gusting 30 with 30deg shifts, scary as hell at times!! 25 boats started that race and only 14 finished!!
Ended up 12th out of 27 which seeing I was in a 30 year old boat I was happy with.

Great class and racing and man oh man they can go. Watched the leading pack go around the top mark in the first race in a 30 knot gust, they were just flying!!!

Light winds and sunshine for the Jeanneau owners Rendezvous on Pittwater. We managed to show quite a few bigger boats a clean pair of heels with our new square top mainsail.

Shoal bay to north bay Broughton island, sea was messy with a few big swells. It's not much more of a roll than Shoal bay, if you can put the closeness of the beach and the reef out of mind it's ok !

Nothing interesting but I did get both sails up and go for a sail for the first time since Lord Howe last November.

sirgallivant and I met at the Drummoyne Sailing Club and sailed MB up to the heads and back. Light breeze, touched 5 kts once or twice, mostly 2-3 kts and sometimes 1.5.

Boat is going great. Very little water in the bilge.

Lovely day and had a pleasant sail with another Seabreezer.

Broughton island to tuncurry. Not enough wind to fill a sail, I suppose that's why we have motors. Seas were a little bit messy leaving Broughton and again around seal rocks. Lots of pile moorings to choose from in tuncurry step on jobs at that !

Yesterday, Forster tuncurry to Camden haven left with a light westerly then the sea went glass then a ENE suited our purpose, a very nice day out. Now to explore laurieton while we wait on the weather.

You can anchor just off the jetty near the RSL - and get a cheap feed there.

Testing our new kite today in really light airs. I was worried, we were slower than I expected, till I realised the diver hadn't been for the hull clean, which is worth a knot and a half. Doh!
