Thanks guys for your encouragement. I really do appreciate it. It means so much.
@ Southace...I seem to instil more confidence in my family than in myself. I had my 'wingman' - my ex husband who is now just my friend - cast me off and arrange to be at the pontoon to catch me on return. He says to me, 'why don't you just go to Moreton for the night? The kids are with me anyway.' So I spent the next ten minutes prior to departure convincing him that, no, I was not ready for an overnighter by myself just yet. I DEFINITELY was going to be back this afternoon. If he had not heard from me by, say 3 o'clock, something was wrong!!
Then, my wingman has to interrupt our 15yo daughter mid afternoon-rant about school or whatever, to tell her that he needs to go and wait at the pontoon because her mother is caught out in the storm on the boat by herself. Apparently she laughed, waved her arms and said, 'ah, she's alright. She's been out in worse than this. She knows what she's doing'.
@ Seabird...it used to be a tradition for my daughters and I in our previous boat to crank up Pink Floyd on the way home from a weekend at Moreton.
...and yes, it is nice not worrying about upsetting others. I was even singing ;) And not having to constantly remind my adolescents that only admirals and a....s sit in companionways! The Folky is such a perfect boat for one person.
@ShaggyBaxter...ooh, now there's a thing!! Need to get my nav lights wired up...weather permitting...I'm up for it!! I'll meet you mid Bay somewhere

See you beforehand though, as I have your caffeine tool to assist staying awake
Hey,,maybe we could have a moonlight Seabreeze meet??
