Well did get to paint the deck around the mast.. But I did alter the draw so it now works closes and opens and locks. I can stand in it and its rock solid .
Charriott drop by today for a chat which was a bonus as I had a quick clean up before he came it was nice to have a chat

Is it possible to use that box as a tender as well HO2.
Anyway enough with the jokes I'm heading 40nm offshore just as a intense low is about to hit wish me luck! I love work

Planning process I'm going to strip the compression post and deck post and stain them the same as the table and then white micro swede on the cushions.

The deck being prepped for the infusion process, this is upside down.
The small vertical bulkhead with the blue square is the main hatchway, the wider bulkhead in the background is the transom.
Getting closer...
Edit: Just out of interest, it shows you how deceiving a camera angle can be, this pic makes it look like an IOR hull, but in reality there is little taper to the transom. I think...I better go and check that again looking at this!

Wrap some flat {Blue} fire hose around the riser rope where it passes over the rollers if your going onto a mooring. Round here the edges of that SS would chew through rope in no time in the winter Westerlies. We have strong tides here that will hold a boat sideways even in Westerly gales and chafe is a problem.

When it was on the swing mooring the cleat was used with the mooring chain directly hooked over it . In a good swell in Port Philip it the mooring chain would slam the boat thats why I took her home here

Well, it's bloody cold at night in a stripped out boat when the most fun you have to look forward to is changing from 40 to 60/80 grade sandpaper ..

Got half a day in , started fitting the head wall . Ill start early tomorrow and finish off both sides if I can

Iphones don't take really good photos after dark and Ive probably got saw dust on the lens

Also purchased a new second hand Muir Atlantic winch

I intend to fit it directly behind the Bowsprit and slightly off set for a direct line of the anchor chain as per the photo below

Hi HG

It is looking good

With the heads walled in how much access space do you have to get into it as in this photo it looks a bit tight

Can you post a photo taken from across the other side of the boat to give a bit better perspective

Regards Don

Hi Donk
I sat on the head today its a little close to the center and could move the head 50mm to the side but sitting on it and you don't touch the wall.
Next time I'm down there Ill take a closer photo for you.
I had to open the port light for a while its been raining all day here in Mexican ville

Ive one strip of cedar on the corner to cut down Ive roughly a 450mm opening which I am hoping to utilize a sliding door for the head or a bi fold
I probably wont post on Sea breeze again Ill miss most of you . Perhaps when some one leaves or changes there attitude II may come back and post more photos as there appear some interest.

All the best in sea breeze
Cheers
HG02
I do have emails that Ill sent photo to.
Cheers from an old Bikie

Don't do it HG. You made this forum pleasurable. And if you go you won't be able to see the varnish work I've done in my cabin at your inspiration which will piss me off.

You have to realise that there are people out there who literally feed off the negative energy they create. They are psychopathic and letting them get to you gives them great satisfaction. It's the destructive principle.

You can destroy them completeley by ignoring them completeley. Whenever you see a post from the culprit just step over it as you would avoid a dog turd on the pavement.

If you go he wins and we all lose.

Don't go HG. I've been a little busy of late attending to some sad family business, but I have really enjoyed following the progress
on Driftwood and want to continue doing so. I also have a lot to thank you for regarding work on my Bukh, your advise and pics
were of enormous help and it will make me even sadder if you're not here anymore.
