Distilled water is dead, no minerals no nothing. OK for batteries... at least you know it may not be contaminated... I haven't tried that for taste.

We went to Florida and had a real good time there. The water was nice.

Map: Portland 3305 The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) says fluoride from Alcoa's aluminium smelter at Portland is making kangaroos sick.

The EPA's Bruce Dawson says the fluoride is being absorbed by the nearby vegetation which is then being eaten by the kangaroos.

He says the fluoride poisons the kangaroos and makes lesions grow on their bones, which renders them lame.

"Once kangaroos have restricted movement [it] has a significant impact on their welfare. So this is something that needs to be managed and avoided."

He says there is not a lot of information around about the impact of fluoride on kangaroos.

The problem is more common in cattle.

"There was a lot of research done in the 60s and 70s in the United States but this really has just started to emerge in terms of the impacts on kangaroos."

Years ago in Broome..I could not get bottled water..and the small amount you could, was EXTREMELY expensive... so I drank distilled water...and loved it.
Broomes water was good in the old days and I suppose with the population increase it went to rap.

I CAN'T drink Perth Water...even though In the very late 80's I went tothe USA and thought Perth water was pretty dam good to their water..the cities that is...

If I drink Perth water..with in a week my health will go down hill and at the end of the week I will be very sick...

We have a good friend up at Bolgart..(yes I know the name is weird) we get all our water from their now...I do filter the water back at home just in case
and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dam good...it tastes like water we use to drink on camp holidays down south.

We go up with a trailer about every 1 1/2 months and load up.

I have been really lazy and have drank water out of the tap for the last 38 years. I suspect most of it had fluoride in it.

I think it has made me sick as I keep watching for moving trees on weekends and spend too much time on the internet.
