I've seen working oil derricks in people's backyards in Huntington Beach. Maybe that's where there are so many muscle cars there.
I have eight petrol vehicles. I might swap one out for an EV.
mine are almost buggered. Let me know when u need a repair or new board .. Swap ?

Hmm, how's about swapping an unlicensed XL500S, that smokes a lot and hasn't been started for 5 years, for a speed board?
Sorry man I'm a knobhead in a car so not riding bikes kept me alive. Sounds like it might be worth a bit less than a board too haha
I'm heading overseas for a few weeks, so there will be no updates. Which is a shame, because this month at 18.9 degrees, is almost down to the climate average, of 18.5 degrees. Almost.
Would anyone like to populate the spreadsheet while I'm away?
Funny you should say that, I started the cars and bikes today in preparation for my absence. I need more trickle chargers.

Well now that you've brought up the importance of continuous records, did you hear that Donald is not going to continue funding the Mauna Lao observatory. It's been measuring atmospheric CO2 since 1958!

You need battery isolators. I have gone away for months and left one of the cars at the airport with the battery isolated. Its a bit of a theft prevention too, not that its easy to get a car these days without the key. The van started up straight away, which is unsurprising.
One time I forgot to isolate the battery and came back to a flat battery, but at least the airport has a service to jump start your car.
Just for the sake of it, I changed out my motorbike battery for a lithium one, just because they self discharge a lot less than the lead battery. Its surprising how long they can go for without having to top it up whereas the lead acid batteries need a bit of a trickle charge to keep them healthy.
Or connect all vehicles in parallel then use one good smart RC charger that decides when and how. But that's only worth it for long term I think.
for Remery it's best that I just drive them a bit
So, remery goes away on holiday every winter eh ?

The Bureau of Meteorology's senior meteorologist Jessica Lingard said the Perth station, which is based in Mt Lawley, recorded 0.3 degrees at 6.55am - the coldest morning since July 5, 2010.The coldest July day on record in Perth is 0C. Perth's coldest day on record is -0.7C on June 17, 2006.
At Perth Airport, the actual temperature was -0.8 degrees at 6.26am, the second coldest July day at the airport.

The ratio of hot record to cold record setting is 2:1. When the climate is steady the ratio is 1:1. Not that we've actually broken the record.
Colder than ever in Perth recently - global warming according to the religious zealots aka alarmists.
When the climate is steady ......
When unicorns dance on rainbows we can all join in a chorus of Kumbaya-my-Lord

OK the climate is never really steady but it is still a sort of correct statement. Although the length of records might come into play. For how long have we been reliably measuring temperature? Anyway the record breaking bias indicates the climate is warming. Exactly why it's warming is another issue altogether.
One of the things with science is making a prediction from theory, and seeing if the prediction holds.
Global warming was predicted ages ago, and now it's happening.
So you make a prediction from theory that its getting warmer and Perth just experienced its coldest morning in 15 years so THEIR prediction therefore holds.
White is black and black is white.
Truth is now inverted.
Hopefully there are some on here who don't fall for the BS
There is a difference between climate and weather. Conflating the two is incorrect. Generally, when you add heat energy to a system the entropy increases, so it's not unexpected that the weather has greater fluctuations, while the climate overall warms.
The Global Boiling crew at the U.N and the W.E.F are in full agreement with the above post.
Do you trust these organisations?
Heard on Channel 9 tonight the July rainfall for Perth is 174 mm.
On the Water Corporation website it states 228 mm.
What's a few degrees or 50 mm a month between friends, hey.
It turns out the rain in Perth doesn't fall evenly across the coastal plain and scarp in July.
I've noticed over the years that the rain in Perth can vary a lot depending on where you are. I have had torrential rain in Rockingham and then gone to the city where it has been dry and almost the opposite at times. When you look at the rain radar you can see the fronts coming in and sometimes they miss some areas.
I have this theory now that the reason that there is a river in Perth is that the rain seems to be more likely to occur in this area than other parts of the coast. At least that's my theory based on what I have seen on the rain radar. Then again I could be just seeing only the part of the coast that the rain radar lets you see and making assumptions.
I can understand why there would be different rainfall measurements based on where it was taken..

Nah. The ectothermic Elitist Lizard rulers in the Western Suburbs don't like too much rain and cold, so the cloud seeding only happens in the surrounding 'burbs. (in 87.2% of rainfall events.)

How did the ectothermic elitist lizards go with the 'mini-tornado' the other week? Was it a mistake, or a chance for them to profit from insurance that the rest of us pay for? Yeah, that's it ![]()
How come you'se lot ain't selling up and leaving Perth ? Do you not trust the science ?
"I think there is a fair chance Perth will be the 21st century's first ghost metropolis," Dr Flannery said. "It's whole primary production is in dire straits". He said there were no signs that Perth's once-abundant winter rainfall would return any time soon. "Western Australia total reductions in autumn and winter precipitation could be potentially as high as 50 percent in the next 80 years" (Well in 60 years now because he said that in 2004.)
Although it seems like you aren't alone in not listening.
In 2004, the estimated resident population of Perth, Western Australia was 1,454,606, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. The current metro area population of Perth in 2025 is 2,169,000.
So that is a 50% increase in the metropolis in the first 20 years.
