This subject really gets me riled, because at the end of the day it is about sex. Gay marriage is just a symptom and in our usual fashion we are talking about tweaking the system to make it acceptable.

the reason it gets me riled is because we are so so blind in our comprehension about copulation.

I am a huge admirer of Jaques Fresco. He has the most incredible comprehension of the human state which he derived from a life times passionate pursuit of knowledge. This led him to living with a primitive tribe in the Amazon for an extended period. Although they were naked no one showed any inclination to perv. He observed the sex act and described it as an almost spiritual experience that consisted of a long periond of foreplay where the loving couple stroked one another all over their bodies.

He also described a tragic case where a murderer of little boys who cut off their genitalia was spared the death sentence at the plea of a shrink who got to the bottom to the story.

When this deluded individual was a child he was taken care of by an elderley aunt who used to threaten him with cutting his willy off if he played with it because god would send him to hell. Of course when he reached puberty and the pressure became too much he did. It spiralled out of control as the more he wanked the more he was going to hell the more he wanked.

So he set out to save little boys from the same fate as himself.

So yes we do have a pretty good idea that unnatural sex can have an impact on people. It fractures the web of society which in turn makes us more pliable and easily led.

How is it evolution, and why the **** do I care?

One could say that 'its evolution' to allow diseases to proliferate and allow millions to die because that is nature's population control - but as most of us are compassionate and don't wish to see others suffer, we allow scientists, doctors etc to help with stifling these diseases.

When I see two people whom love each other, bet they same sex or not, I think how lucky they are to have found a compatible partner and a lifetime of love. If they wish to celebrate this in a marriage ceremony than they should have that option.

On the child adoption and child rearing issue, again, the same applies - if children are in a loving family and nurtured as such, then it is a great outcome for the family and society in general, regardless of sexual orientation.

I find it quite sad, but unsurprising, to hear of the negative and discriminatory views concerning gay people, rights etc. its the reason why so many young men and women suffer increase rates of depression and in worst case scenarios, commit suicide.....

Canada has had same sex marriage for quite a while and I am pretty sure their society hasn't collapsed.

Gay people are born that way, it's biological. Embryogenesis is complicated and things often get mixed up. It's not a persons choice to be gay, just like I assume you never made the choice to be straight?

That is not true. Many hoosexual people are born that way, far many more people practise same sex because of learned behaviour. All behaviour is learned so exposure to weird sexual practices from early cognition, as with violence or converseley compassion and a loving environment, they will all be part of that persons make up.

If you can accept that then it suddenly throws a whole new light on the subject in question.

Sex is an immensley powerful thing and much has been written about it's maluseage in ancient Rome. One thing I have discovered in my almost three score years is that relationships builst on sex lose their shine when the sex becomes old hat, which it always does.

If you strive for satisfaction for lust then you can run the risk of your life spiralling out of control. Take a look at what happened to Tiger Woods. His addiction has very likely destroyed his actual sex life. There must be a myriad of guys out there, and girls, who contracted aids for starters.

Nah - it's evolution that if you're gay - which is fine, then you dont get to have kids. you can't have your big co.ck cake and eat it to. unless you're a lesbo and you take one for the team. I think there are serious social issues if gay couples have open access to adoption. I have a wonderfull adult niece raised by a gay mum. Have no doubt gay parents can be good parents. Of course being gay doesn't nake you a devo, but sterotypes exist for a reason.
