may I join in please?, reading this thread is like hearing the kiddies bickering in the back seat of the car driving to the holiday destination, I guess the positive thing is that they may grow up and may have something rational to say later in life , I have to laugh at the threads about hanging it on those "fat old bastards",
sorry I forgot bald, fat bastards, well they must be written by young dudes with "tude" that seemingly forget the facts of life about the aging process that happens to us all, hahahah, what a beauty the thought of all those young dudes growing up to be fat balding bastards, the point being you should be better people for going surfing but I am concerned its just not working for you, you are just missing the whole goddammed point of it all. pity

Are we there yet?

upon reading this thread, anyone else here get the feeling that doggie is really in love with legion...?

Yes...yes I do.

I dont really understand what Legions prob is anyway? Why come on a SUP forum and talk about how much you hate the sport, when your so clearly narrow minded about shortboarding.

I hope thats easy enough for you to understand doggie, because I'm sure you'll be the first to jump to his defence.

This post is like politics. The original post was "Whats the difference"
It has turned into a full on rant about I hate you, you hate me, we all hate each other. I think we all need to show respect for each other in the water no matter what we are on. I surf and SUP and am old and a little bit fat and a little bit bald. I feel I am the most hated person here. Although I must admit even tho I SUP I still done feel the joy when one paddles out near me when I am surfing

The only ones hating are Legion and Doggie if you read closely, the rest of us dont seem to care about what others surf.

It's easy not to care when you're riding a 150L craft as long as a small car and half as wide that allows you to sit further out than anyone else and pick up waves easier than anyone else. Everything's roses.

Oops I forgot to reply to the topic as well. I enjoy the SUP because it is something new and a bit different. I enjoy surfing as well. There is a lot less board under foot and much looser. But SUP is just something different to master. It isn't as easy as it looks when you watch other people doing it. And the more you get into it, the more there is to learn. You never get much rest on a SUP as you are always balancing especially when the water surface isn't ideal. So you are constantly active even when waiting for a wave. I will look for somewhere away from crowds. If that isn't possible then I will just take my surfboard and join the crowd
