I can categorically state that I have no affiliation to Simon or the Minion brand or with any company forward that matter so my personal narrative is not influenced by bias but I have to send a big kudos to Simon and company. For too long we have been subject to the big players in the market which has resulted in many a fan paying an arm and a leg some to see on of the smaller guys making inroads as well as changing the playing field is a positive sign. Let's keep supporting these guys who are there to offer that personalised experience which you just don't get firm the standard templates offered be the big boys. At the end of the day these boards have sold themselves.
I bet Colas right now you are saying "I told you so guys". And you would be right to feel smug.

Ozzie, I enjoy your narrative, but I want it to switch to one about YOURS soon!

I agree mate and I cant wait. Sufficed to say that over the weekend I sent a text message to Casso to initiate a contact. I really need to trial one as with my weight I am potentially looking to go under 7 foot. I am thinking 6'10 x 27 x 4. I could go narrower on that as well but lets wait and see. At 74kg one can afford to push it to the limit :)
Ozzie
Yahoo. I'd be thinking give it a little more length and thin it out instead to about 3 1/2". There isn't much difference in performance between 610 and 7'2" but heaps in that 1/2" of thickness.
Hi Ghostman , good choice 6'10 x 27 x 4.Must be your favorite summer board 2015
Don't order thickness, order volume, these board are stable from square outline . Reducing flotation at a minimum allow to bury rail easier. So ask close to up 83 liters for your body weight 74kg+board weight 6 kg instead of ordering thickness.
You may have thinner rail as possible this way.

Some interesting contributions in terms of dimension. This has got me thinking. I gave thought to something following these numbers:
7'0 x 26.5 x 3 3/4.
Ultimately it has to be a board that can handle the very worst conditions sitting out back. I am guessing those figures would yield a board
around the 90 litre mark? If I take it to 7'2 then I would look at reducing the width to 26 inches.
The nature of this design lends itself to a friendly juxtaposition of thinner rails with reduced length it seems.
Cheers Ozzie
At 60 years old i would not stand up on choppy conditions on those dimensions...Will you do it , i bet yes
IMO, i do not expect stability from extra flotation, keep in mind that is the rectangular shape that make the board stable. And as you did understand this design make thinner rails.
Last point, while riding that kind i feel important to get my back foot on tail and front foot as close the nose as possible, like skateboarding. Too much length make you riding from the back of board and add inertia to your move.
