Not sure how safe it would be but lots of heaters have there fuel tanks as part of the unit and there is advantages in short pipe runs

If you google images of kero stoves a lot of them have the tank attached to the unit

I don't suppose under the stove at the base of your stainless enclosure is a option

I know it would be exposed (sometimes this is a advantage) but it would be easy to fill

The only down side would be the head room

Full headroom in the hulls 1.6m in saloon.

I love reading about you guys and your boat builds. I come from a boat building background. Now I teach in High Schools.

The Foam they are using for Infusion and laminating is a high density foam core. The reason it is so hard is:

1. Impact resistance
2. When Infusing the less porous the foam the better BUT you can use lighter foams and cardboard cores but they are not as impact resistant.
3. The awesome thing about infusion is you use peel ply under the bag and you have a ready to bond surface.
4. Harder foams keep ther shape outside of the moulded surface, BUT you can no rely on them to keep there shape forever. Bonding them after cure or leaving them in mould is the BEST.

I am in the process of building and designing a 4x4 Motorhome based of either a Mercedes benz Sprinter or MItsubishi Canter chasis. I will probally infuse the panels and glue them together.

I have currently been making surboards with UV curable resins. Its an absolute revaltion you can build stuff walk away have a coffee then come back and the resin has not gone off. Once your done take the baord outside or turn on the UV lights. Half and hour later rock solid. I have been making laminated panels and shaping one off fins.

I have had a student build a hollow surfboard parts on a 3D printer and then glass it together with UV resins its pretty fun.

She is being constructed in Combrit, in Sth Brittany.
Structures, have had a lot of experience in the Open 40's and Mini-Transats, and this is their cruiser racer version of the Pogo 40s. Lots of years of research went into this decision, and Pogo just kept ticking all the boxes .
Splashes end of September, and we hope to have her in the water in Brisbane, her new home, by Xmas (fingers crossed). Doing lots of research into the shipping and import stuff at the mo!

Yes, we are all waiting with bated breath. Sorry if that was a harsh comment about your project HG but this Pogo build clearly has a completely different budget And that in itself promotes interest, even envy.

Personal I didn't find your comment harsh mate, any day you can 'sink the slipper' into HG or BrizzyD for that matter is a good day.

Dont worry id love yo build one 930 to me is a good size to solo sail just was curious about th head room which is not bad at all
I still have a lump on my head. From hitting the carlings on a cabin roof .
Id cheat with the 930 and raise the cabin slight to suit 6 ft 1 inch
I bought the plans for a simpson when i was married cut out the temp bulk head and had one stringed up
And was told bu my dear sweet x wife its the boat or me
I chose my x

It was going to be a retirement long term project . It did cross my mind after I was shown the door but now where to build and after 17 years of the three legged race it took me a while to walk again
If I won tattslotto Id ordered the material asap and also the plans

If I didn't have the dual wheel option, you have enough room for a sizeable inflatable to rest on the deck behind the tiller post without fouling anything.
Unfortunately, I lose that option as the dual wheel pedestals bite in a little bit to this space.
Still lots of room to rest an inflatable up against the rear lifelines , but the purist part of me doesn't like that much.
The current solution is the inflatable goes deflated in a hatch in the cockpit floor, which is surprisingly cavernous.

Wheels on a Pogo, that is just wrong too ... real Pogo's have tillers, two of them. Allow me to whisper a question of you ..... Was it the meds that caused this decision to have wheels? When you post the pics of the finished boat, I think it will be the first Pogo I have seen with wheel steering.
