HG got the flick until the 20 th. I hope he'll be back but somehow doubt it.

Not long age he sent me spares for my Taylor's cooker and refused payment. The man was a gentleman an enthusiastic and helpful member and as long as I have been reading the threads I've not seen him do anything untoward.

Frant got the flick for the same period.

For as long as I've been reading the threads he has come across as an absolute plonker.

Makes you wonder sometimes!

HG also gave me a jib for nicks - he's a very good man. He will be back if I've got anything to do with it; I text him today to encourage him. He wears his heart on his sleeve so I guess when you live like that you get burned sometimes.

I reckon your assessment is on the money, japie.

Sometimes I want to give a particularly obnoxious person a serve but generally I realise it'll do no good at all. I only have to put up with their words on my screen (when I can't just ignore them) - they have to actually live with themselves ALL THE TIME! Poor bastards.

And then there's natural karma; I for one will be a good host when HG sails into Sydney Harbour!

geeze, you go on holidays for a week and look what happens...

I've been on Seabreeze for a while, not as long as many regulars, and have learnt a few tips also.
Unless I've got firsthand experience, that can help others, I probably wont join in much.

SB is just like the normal yacht club, there's people with experience and knowledge, and others with not so much of either but may like to appear otherwise.
The trick is to just work out which is which. After a little while, I've learnt who's posts to take notice of.

As far as HG, I'll admit sometimes initially I welcomed a change from the H28 topics, but I admire what he has done and his enthusiasm is a credit.
I will be pretty annoyed if he leaves the forum, and we will not be given the chance to see the final product in all its glory.
I think there's a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes, and personally HG has helped me out sourcing some 'Nyalic' some may remember mentioned in the mast rejouvenation thread, and I too attest to his character.

There are other Sailing threads full of anarchy and personal flaming, if the US values are more your bent.
SB was developing a unique aussie flavor, if you don't like how it's done here, freedom is a mere click away.

WTF. Who said what about whom?

HG, I'd be disappointed if you didn't return after a sin binning. You're a good player on here.

Frant, I'd be disappointed if you didn't come back to make the positive contributions you have shown you can make.
