I just found this in the fine print
"Please note: Passengers who wish to check-in bulky items must present the item at Jetstar check-in counters, 2 hours prior to departure for flights departing from a domestic terminal and 3 hours prior to departure for flights departing from an international."

that means us I would imagine with board bags .So we are leaving earlier .move Cols pick up times forward one hour

Bummer eh .that bloody great low in the tasman was the offender .next Fiji hookup is on 11th -21st Aug. 8 hookin up already .Got an email from Duncan the expat Aussie and his American partner re his diving "By the way the shark dives were great, we had about 50 bull sharks around us most of the time." I think I might get into that on no wind days next time .It was great having you there Ric,really enjoyed yours and everyone else's company .

Yep we had breaky with him and looked at the shark pics
He was stoked with them, and to think he was nearly going to leave cause his first dive was 6 hrs late (fiji time)

Got out today at caves in some good waves

I will most likely also head over again but not sure yet

yep they are concrete (However slight change once again family makes a slight cahnge .My sisters 40th is on Sat 21st so I will be coming home on the 20th .I will be booking in tomoz Once I have done the ring around (keep an eye on this thread to b sure ). Did you catch up with your mates?Are they in ?

Bula! Bula! That Col's Point wave will be running through my head for a long while to come. Thanks so much Lach for being the brains behind the adventure. It was a great experience & a real eye opener for me. Soon as I pay off the brownie debt I'll be back, I expect with family.

Just checking out the tides for fiji august 11 till 21

I see the 11th has a high tide at about 7am

The first three days will be a bit sketchy at low tide but the rest will be perfect

That is a bummer

finally coming off the back of 3 days on my arse, hot/cold sweats, the worx. antibiotics finally kicking in thankfully though! not sure that rubbing coconut oil into open wounds did me any favours...

great to see the plans evolving to return. i'll need to eval some options but at this stage it's sounding good.

Haha col, I'm not that caring n sharing... It is unbelievable to think this euro had not enough pride or dignity to pay his way; that he was more than comfortable to hav a chick pick up his tab... But that's euros for u... He can shell out for p1ss n kites but can't pay his way, this is less than pathetic, helpless u might call it... Anyway was a top trip n I can't wait to get back in aug, hope I dnt meet another Markus or euro for that matter, this time around lol... Had a ball n countin down the days till I return... Yeehaaa!

Yep, def col... Was a good conversation starter, in the words of our Asian friend lol, if anything.... Can't wait to get back... Mayb hopefully hav a surfboard to take next time, depending on how good the tax return is

I am just waiting for the first week in july to see if jetstar have any specials to fiji before booking my flights.

After talking to some local kiters I reckon we should be in for a much better time in August

I was talking to my old hobie crew who is going to the worlds and he said they have a regatta on the previous week in Fiji, a lot of internationals will be there as a last regatta before heading to the hobie 16 worlds in china at the same time we will be in Fiji.
One of the races will be sailing from suva to nadi via some islands.
Would have been great to see them going past and tag along for a downwinda
