Just to let all the pro cull people know, there are groups on face book that could do with the support. I've thrown myself behind them but I think if you have access to facebook you should too. Can't remember what they're called but one is SOS save out surfers or something like that. Just search pro cull. One guy has pictures on his boat opposing the rally with writing on surfboards . Help these guys out with a fantastic cause

It's not compulsory to surf in places inhabited by sharks when the water is grey and filmy. That's the best way to avoid being munched. The best way to minimise the risk, is don't surf there or just HTFU.

Not true...a number of recent WA attacks have been on beach breaks with clear water in the middle of the day.

Also not true, most were in the morning before 9am and at reef breaks, Wedge was the only beach break.................

Just for your info
Wedge 9am Saturday morning, Dolphins is reef and sand.
Umbies 930 am Saturday morning also reef and sand.
Both days the swell was max 2 foot in 4 foot of water.

So in the morning's. Has there actually been any shark attacks in the middle of the day (on a surfer or body boarder) in recent history? I can't remember.. (I am aware that off shore attacks, Like scuba have been mid day)

Lurch those days, (i know you were around at a few) was there any others signs, like was their heavy bait fish, what was the wind doing? That type of thing..

Both days were sunny and offshore with no other signs. It was a case of if I wasn't working I'd be in the water no doubt about it.
Both beautiful days why would you not be on the beach with the family tagging with the missus for a surf and pushing the kids into a couple.
Imagine a 5 m pointer inhaling your kid or missus in 4 foot of water, it was a very real possibility.
And Darth, the reef at Dolphins is why the banks form there......

Boneyards was late arvo, overcast from memory.
Reef or beach, I dont think I really makes a difference tbh.
Ken was really early between 7 or 8am.

aawww doggie,...
,.. and you used to be such a friendly little pooch, with such a happy kelpie grin.
But now you're snapping and snarling at everyone.

Hop off to the vet and see if he can give you something for it.

Incidentally, starting a new avatar wont be the answer because within about 20 or 30 posts, your bark betrays you.

and,.. does any of this have anything to do with the original poll? NO.
It all makes the counting very difficult.

I think you'l find the rallys over there were more against the drum lines in Perth. Or in support of the Perth rally. The drum lines / nets in the East has been more subdued and maybe even underground. But i would shave signed maybe 5 or 6 petitions over the last few years against them. I have also signed against the dredging and commercial boat passage through the Great Barrier Reef.

Have you ever signed one in support of reducing all the boats, family boats or otherwise, which go out there and pillage the reefs daily?
Or do you sign petitions to keep all the unprotected areas remaining unprotected?
Because I have a feeling your conservation efforts might not be so evenly spread.
Just wondering.
