Listen for yourself, he explains his points well.
You do not need to accept them....
Here's your big chance Pete...
"A man named Will Duffy, a pastor who made a few debates with flat earthers has launched an event called the Final Experiment.
He invited 24 "big names" in the flat Earth movement and 24 in the "debunkers" community to go to Antarctica next December and observe the 24H Sun that flat Earther have been denying for years (not counting the fact that they claim that civilians can't go there anyway.
In addition, Will Duffy will pay all the expenses for one flat earther and one "normie".
On the Globe side, David McKeegan, a British photographer and YouTuber has won the popular vote and will travel to Antarctica for free. Congratulations, Dave.
On the Flat Earth side, the winner of the vote to get the free trip was David Weiss, aka Flat Earth Dave, aka DIRTH.
Weiss is probably one of the richest flat Earth gurus thanks to his "flat Earth app" that is estimated to have grossed him close to a million.
And Weiss has turned down this invitation for a free trip. He wrote that he doesn't want to have anything to do with "demons".
Here is a man who spent years saying that Antarctica is the key to knowing the truth and who is not interested to go there for free..
I think that it's difficult not to conclude that this man who presents himself as a "truth seeker" is absolutely not interested in seeing for himself.
As of today, over the 24 flerfs that have been invited to participate, only 5 have even acknowledged the invitation.
Heck, I will go. I can pretend to be retarded for a few weeks at least. Most people would say I don't need to pretend or at least try hard doing it.
I could suddenly announce 'I see the light' and it wouldn't be from an artificial sun either.
I am not that good at bluffing though, so if they ask me directly if I believe this flat earth stuff, I wouldn't be able to stop the smirk on my face. I guess I could pretend I was superior to them. That'd work.

Does he support them with evidence?
Or just references to scripture?
Edit: I watched a bunch of your other recommendations and you haven't responded to my comments about them. What will be different with this one?
Even devout Christians have worked out that Flat Earthers are idiots.

Well I want to see T Coronae Borealis explode. Why do I have to be in the Northern hemisphere? It's just not fair.

I'm 36 minutes in.
The biggest claim he has made that actually makes sense to me is:
-You have to believe the earth is flat to believe in god, because that is how god made the earth. If you deny flat earth, you therefore deny god.
Still no evidence that isn't scripture
Finally found some science.
Rich told me to look at the Gleason map of the earth.
Which according to his application to the US patent office is projection of a globe earth onto a flat surface.
This is what most people consider an "own goal"
Then somehow thinks planes can reach escape velocity just because they would have to deal with the curve of the earth (if gravity didn't exist )
Then he bends the truth sooo hard he's almost lying when claims that NASA uses "flat non-rotating earth" in ALL of their models when building helicopter, airplane or rocket. "I'm not making this up folks"
(they might use it for modelling a plane, but all their launch calcs will definitely use rotating globe)
Funny he doesn't explain why rockets don't launch straight up?
If satellites are held up by balloons, how is gps/gnss so accurate?
I've hit 53 minutes, no evidence of any discussion of physical science
PC,
You don't believe we went to the moon, but you believe that back in the time of Ezekiel they were able to build a tower that took a whole year to climb?
This is based on faith on the bible.
Credit where its due you have somewhat of an open mind.
Stage two - Watch the 2nd hour of Flat Earth Lancashire England Live - 1hr 57 minutes.
If you were engaging in a discussion with me, you might remember I've already watched that one.
strangely, you haven't responded to any of my questions I asked on that one either.
Rich's sermon was all based on various ancient Christian texts.
Light on for specifics and evidence. Although he explains that he literally interprets the texts to mean these things actually happened, occurred or existed
You'd think there'd be some remnants of a tower so big it took a year to climb.

People talk about conspiracy theorists suddenly discovering what they have thought is a pile of crap. It is rare, but does happen.
In this case, you are the one that will need the therapy. Therapy to make you accept that you are discussing something with someone that has no idea and doesn't want to understand. He has his viewpoint and has found a stage where he can get attention by being on it. To listen or discuss logic would mean that he would lose the attention.
Whether he believes this rubbish is irrelevant. He just wants to be different. If that means just repeating random rubbish that people say to him about conspiracies, well that's just the way it is.
For your therapy, I would recommend a novel approach. Keep discussing this. Keep arguing points. Just forget completely about the need to convince him. It's not going to happen.
Just sayin'... you play Croquet on a Flat Earth.
And if I read the other forum thread correctly, it will also give you Covid protection. Win, win.

Good point, croquet would be very difficult if the Earth was curved. The balls would be rolling all over the place.

Never question what you are told lol.
But someone told you the earth was flat?? You sure as $&@! cannot prove it.
Never question what you are told lol.
This is what seems so strange.
You accuse us of unsubstantiated, unquestioning belief that the world is not flat.
Yet you have just told us that your belief that that the world is flat is purely based on some pastors interpretation of the Bible.
You have not been able to provide any other evidence except the Bible.
We can go outside and see that the evidence you provide doesn't match reality. No one needs to tell us anything.

Oh sorry, I missed this before.
I think my comments are pretty spot on to the best of my knowledge. Sort of like your views on things.
I have nothing positive to say about Flat Earthers, so you are correct in a way. If there is a positive, like I have mentioned before, I think everyone exists in society for a reason and diversity is not a bad thing.
Thanks for the suggestion. Can I offer another? I will stay quiet if you logically discuss points that people are raising with you instead of just offering another random link to something else. I don't think that's going to happen though.
We can go outside and see that the evidence you provide doesn't match reality.
If the evidence outside matches your moving spherical earth theory then fair enough.
Nothing wrong with discussing fascinating topics.
For myself i do not pretend how it works, certainly not in any great detail anyway.
Only the creator knows how it works exactly that is if you believe there is one.
To me there are elevations and depressions mostly where the oceans are but they are filled with water.
Everywhere else looks pretty horizontal to me.
My experience with water is it will always remain level or horizontal at its surface.
Fair, and that is why scientific observations and investigations can be so much more challenging than just going outside.
Pastor Rich stated that science should be repeatable. I agree, which is why I can navigate using stars, predict the position of the moon and the sun.
But only if the world is ball shaped.
I can't make that work if I use a flat earth.
And so, most flat earthers don't even try and rely on crappy home done budget experiments that still don't support their hypothesis.
They wilfully ignore or discount any evidence to the contrary.
So please, don't assume we're just blindly following what NASA feeds us or whatever.
Especially if you're basing your position on literal faith
I can stretch get a garden hose out then fill it with water.
When the water is level at both ends of the hose i know for dead certain unless there is an air lock in the hose that the land on each end of the hose is horizontal.
Crappy experiment - no.
A valid experiment - obviously as water will always find its level.
Pete I told you ages ago, that level isn't straight!!!!! the water at the ends of the hose is just following the curvature of the earth.
If you have a hose with a T junction in the middle, so that you actually have 3 ends instead of 2, it will not be a straight line etween the 3 points!. But you will need a long hose to see it.
This is where your logic is circular. Your "proof" relies on a false first assumption, If the earth was flat, yes level would be straight.
But you are in effect saying that, "the Earth is flat, therefore the earth is flat"
That's why you get disparaging comments, what you say is just stupid.

Well, what is making the water find it's level? Clearly gravity. Do you agree on this at least?
If the Earth was a sphere, how would gravity behave differently even if the hose length was half of the circumference of the Earth?
Your experiment would demonstrate that both ends of the hose are the same elevation above the centre of the earth, obviously taking into account different atmospheric pressure at each end depending on the length of your hose.
Does not prove or disprove anything related to the difference between flat and ball Earth.
can look at an aeroplane flying west at sunset. I can make out the sun reflecting off the bottom of the plane and shadows being cast up from the wings onto the fuselage.
This is only possible on a flat Earth if the plane is above the height of the sun.
Which is clearly not the case.
Do you, Pcdefender, ever wonder why the seabreeze we enjoy so much swings to the SW and then SSW? (hint... Coriolis)
Do you, Pcdefender, ever wonder why the seabreeze we enjoy so much swings to the SW and then SSW? (hint... Coriolis)
See, this is where it all falls down. Anything can be answered by 'because They are doing that on purpose'. If we ignore logic and history we can pretend that some secret organisation is turning on fans to generate the wind, given that they clearly have created the suns to move across the flat earth.
You can't defend stupid logic.
Where did this secret organisation come from? Well, lets not get bogged down in detail, here is another youtube/henrymackow/weirdwebsite to look at instead.
