Two great and significant inventions.

The hot water system.

The most significatant invention of the last 1000 years, the screw and the screwdriver.

Implants are for the poor mothers out there that used to have great tits before the life got sucked out of them by ungrateful kids.
Oh yea ,and for porn stars.
And sailors backs.

Alt-F4 for certain topics...

I'm on a Mac. But I want to know what Alt-F4 does! I love short cuts, and Windows is probably better at offering a large array of short cuts.

Closes the program. Same as Control + P on a Mac.

(Win) Alt + Space + N = minimize window.
Alt + Space + for maximise
(...just hit Alt + space and read)

Windows + L for Lock
Windows + M for desktop

Alt + Tab of course, but throw in a Shift to go the other way.
Ctrl + Tab to do same, but for cycling through windows of current Application (shift to reverse).

...yeah, I don't use the mouse much.

The better version, if I get what we are talking about originally, is FireFox + Control + Shift + P.
+ + Ctrl + Shift + P !=

I am surprised, disappointed and slightly miffed that the "ute" hasn't been mentioned, not one of those soft cock new ones lowered with coloured seats and big lease payments, the real ones like the valiant safari ute or the eh/ hr Or xa the ones that help build this mighty country... :-)

On the New Inventors a quite a few years ago, a guy invented a machine/factory that would recycle tyres.
Firstly, it would srip the belts out of the tyre and the metal would be recycled.
Secondly, the rubber would go through a process that could make newre-used rubber products (eg mats, speedhumps etc...)
Thirdly, as a bi-product of the above he was able to extract oil to be refined as petrolium (off memory).

No more land fill and useful products to boot.

I know there are some pretty amazing inventions that have been discovered since mankind started walking this earth, fire, penicillin, flight, wine casks or even battery operated power tools, but to me one of the greatest is the "hoodie" worn by millions, whether it be those robbing the local milk bar, mum's pushing the pram on their morning walk or even me to ward of the cold. Life would not be the same without it......

hoodie for sale at the globe theatre in london ,had the shakespeare quote
"A hood maketh not a monk"
was that guy a prophet or what!

The atom bomb, none of us would be writing this if it had'nt been used.
The bomb now keeps the peace worldwide. For the first time in human
history the maniac politicians/ despot dictators will be just as dead
as the rest of us, if they start an all out war.
A true saviour of mankinds stupidity.
And the aeroplane, which carries people to see better or worse places,
and awakens us to the reality of others lives.

Vagina's

They are not an invention.

What is an invention is the concept that after spending nine months getting out of one that a guy wants to spend most of the rest of his life getting back up vaginas.

O.k. How about Zippy/cable ties and The Bicycle/Tricycle? Also, Gopher Carts/motorised wheelchairs are pretty nuts as well, giving mobility to Seniors and the Disabled. Actually, watching some of the Para-Olympics has kind of sparked an interest in all things to do with mobility.

as they seriously don't give one about driving right into you when you are walking on the footpath...old or not it's a dangerous thing in the wrong hands
and it's not just one of them it's the bl@@dy lot of them..it's a conspiracy I tell you..a conspiracy...
