What to get next?
After looking at all the reviews, shop and brand hype and talking with some experienced short board SUp'rs I can say I am totally confused as to what to get next.

9'8" starboard fish is feeling a little cumbersome and sluggish of the bottom and top of a wave - want something a little more like my Merrick Biscuit in a SUP - but a bit concerned about going too short. Paddled a 8'5" pocket rocket and was surprised by the stability. I am around 87kg's (with winter coming and lots of Coopers stout expected to be drunk that may hit 90)

Question is is 110 litre/ 8'10" just too much hard work or are you better off comprimising on a 9-9'3" narrower SUP.

It's doin my head in!!!

Any thoughts - I know this will have a thousand differnt opinions - fairly limited with demo's (haven't tried to hard yet to arrange something)

Cheers

9-1 Pin Pin rig help me design
For those that have the quiver minus one , I'm after the purpose built rig for those special days.

Double overhead shack central [}:)] a board that just barely carries your weight with some paddle speed ,super pulled in nose and tail soft rocker marginal tail lift , smooth double concave.
What are your measurements , with your pulled nose to make those lunging pits and thin narrow tail to bring the board around before you are swallowed by the beast ..

I'm thinking 9-1 x 4-1/4 x 27.5 , tough board with a pulled in nose and tail but once you're on it will deliver you through sections we would not normally make.

Sub 9's definitely produce in performance but you need the length to chase the beast , what's your design specs.

P.S Goatmans Rig looks pretty nice

Have PSH changed their shapes?
I was at my local SUP dealer today after paddling and I spotted some new PSH boards.

There's no doubt that PSH boards work well and I'm no expert but I always thought they were a little flat and needed some more nose rocker.

They seemed to nose dive a bit on take-off (well for me they did for me) but this board seems very different.. it also felt much lighter.. and thiner in the nose and tail.

This is the new 9'6" Ripper and straight away it seemed like the nose rocker was different.. What do you guys think?

Also I notice the added fin boxes so it can be run as a quad.. Did they have that before?

Maybe AA can explain.. Maybe it's just me... It was a very nice looking board.. (IMO)..
