If we are talking the weekend, then there's a small chance I could get down to Hardies. Otherwise its just Lucky Bay or Peli Pt.

I'll throw in the gear in case some of these fronts push through in the next few days.

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the offer Mineral. Having got the new 120ltr board I think I'll head to Lucky Bay tomorrow about 9.30-10am and get as much TOW and distance as I can on the 7.5m, then change down to the 6.2m and see how it goes (in 20knts+) in early/mid afternoon. Given the weather forecast probably best not to test my luck on the big board straight up in 25knts mid afternoon (hope I didn't put the mocka on it). Don't want to wreck the board just yet - probably a bit more fragile than my ability should have got.

Guys, have a good run down at Hardies. I certainly can't promise anything, but if I can get the board set up comfortably I will see what distance and 1 hr I can do.

I'm keen. When were you thinking? If the wind looks good one day I might head to Hardies also. Sooo sweet in an easterly!

Good stuff hardpole, we're feeling a tad guilty not catching up with you yet

Thats fine - I m the one who should feel bad - I joined a team and havent made the effort to catch up with you all. But when the wind is up somehow the pleasure of sailing in my favorite spots always overruled what I "should" have done.

Just realised I had better make sure the GPS is charged (just in case)

G'Day crew, have a bush trip this week, so hopefully if we get any squashed air, its after this Thursday[}:)] No water or kit out the back where I am heading
Have to be in Grab Cruncher territory over weekend coming. Step Grandsons 1st Birthday
Will take trailer with full kit just in case.

Fingers crossed, touch wood the wind gods have punished us all enough for Benders new board/boards and we get some screaming fronts from now on in

I might have a go tomorrow morning and Friday arvo if it happens.

I'm also thinking about trying a potential spot I spied on Google Earth on Saturday. It's a couple of hours south. Anyone keen?

Well Bender,

This was really intended for the Pinna's crew... but you may already know more about it than I do...
I'm not going to spill the beans incase the guys who pointed me in its direction are trying to keep it secret.

The wind direction isn't looking all that great anyway... It will probably be a pointless adventure. Expensive adventure at $1.8/L WTF!

Cheers

So in a

Thursday: W/NW winds 20/30 knots shifting W/SW 20/30 knots early morning. Squalls to 50 knots in thunderstorms in the morning. Winds easing to 15/20 knots in the afternoon increasing again to 20/25 knots in the evening.

where is the best speed spot ? Peli Pt is mentioned in another post - easy for me I know where that is. I have to do some work (dirty word) in Cottesloe at 9:00 so as soon as I finish that I will be getting wet (and that could be 10 or 12 - who knows) . Is it worth going to PW assuming its shifted SW or would it still be too W ?

I will probably head to Lbay if it has some N in it. If it has sw or ssw Pt w is good. more w is just gusty as. Won't be out till 3+ but text if you get out and i will try to back up.

Well done Porka and Hardpole on getting out yesterday.
We know that el capitan is out of action tomorrow. Doesn't look great for a southern trip.
If it happens anybody want to meet at Lbay or?
I would like to get some distance in and hit alpha, Nmile and if the wind is consistent get an hour in.

Am going Soufffffff, leaving early in morning, can only play to midday
Got back mid morning, intended to knock off at 1 and head down then bloody work went on and on and on. Thus the reason for early morning shift

Tonyc and Pugwash, not a bad write up on the loft blade combined with a board I haven't heard about. Regardless of board, sounds like the blade performed well.
