If only I could gybe like the rest of the crew
then maybe some distance would kick in to write home about

c'mon mike, gybing is simple:

1. Go as fast as you can
2. Bear off
3. Close you eyes
4. Cross your fingers
5. Bend your knees
6. Flip the rig...

That's it

Well done team, no mean feat staying in top ten with the quality being displayed Australia wide.
Will take gear to work, hope to get away in time for a short run.
No DLS for another 8 months

You are right about the sad faces over DLS Mineral, Hardie, Elmo and I had a late run this evening but probably missed the best of it having lost the hour!

Hey Pinnas.

I have my gear in the car, and hoping for a sneaky lunchtime session at Pt Walter, or one after work.

I'm keen to start the month with some good numbers. Maybe we can grab first place for 1 day???

Cheers

Took broken boom back and shop gave me replacement - no questions asked.
Thats what I call service.

Almost no pain when moving chest now so might be ready for a sail when we get some wind.

Jayzoos, you get banged up, when? I must have bloody well missed your post.
Here is us dribbling on about having a good time and your parked up in dry dock

If your heading down to Lucky Bay, text me so we can catch up. Mon or Thursday.

Hey Min's - how have you been - Pinna's seem to have done some decent numbers of late. I have finally taken those HTFU pills and will get out in the next few days - please text me as well when you get out - as long as it's over 18knts. See that Mon and Thurs morning are looking good - do you know where a good spot is for NW breeze tomorrow?

Have made an offer on a very quick 120ltr board and will get 7.5 & 8.5 sails soon, so be able to get some time on the water in - and concentrate on distance and hours etc.

Cheers, Tony

G'day Tony, Lucky Bay is good, we run from deep in the corner about level with last tree on the shoreline up towards that sports club on your left (looking West) and back towards Pt Majestic, parallel to shore near nuf.
Get a 40 odd fin with the 120 if you can for light wind days.
Am starting to look for long board with centre fiin for those days its crap and want to scrape together some K's.

Mike.
Will be there tomorrow if it holds in.

Hey Mineral,

Take it from someone who's tried, you can't get a decent distance score if you're not planing.

Work it out: At 20 knots (average across the wind planing speed) for 5 hours = 185 k's.
7 knots (average across the wind slogging speed) for 5 hours = 65 k's.
I find slogging harder on the body than planing as well

You'd be better off getting a 130 litre early planer with a 7m sail imo.

Forecast for tomorrow morning and afternoon looks absolutely terrible Huey. So I will definitely not be going out tomorrow at Lucky Bay from about 10.30am through to mid afternoon (yeah I know you have heard that before Pinnas). Any other Pinnas who definitely are not going to go out tomorrow.

Is this ok Elmo?? [}:)]

Glad I kept away from that h2o - its bad stuff.

Met slowboat at pelican pt - now have actually met some MHMob and SRM and still no pinnas - will catch up one day ! When its windy I hope.

Great fun today - first time for a long time that I skived from work before lunch to go sailing - normally not till 3:30

That river water does taste different.

Righto crew, next time we get some squashed air, time to catch as a team, best spot? not sure, probably Lucky Bay or Peli Point. Cant believe Hardpole has missed all of us each time. Good to see we got on the water yesterday.

So, not making any call on the arrows but where are we going to meet?
Best chance for overall numbers is probably Hardies.
Anybody available?
