I never know when your full of it or when your actually right

Cut was cleaned each night with Sterile cleaner, just didn't know I was supposed to keep it dressed at night as well, and the dressing lasted 5 secs while windsurfing so gave up on that. I thought drying it out would do it good, apparently thats the wrong thing to do.
I must say the doctor surgery I went to in Cairns was all a bit lax, they didn't actually tell me how to look after it, just said try not to get it wet and good luck with the windsurfing. Oh and I'd better give you some antibiotics because it may get infected if you go in the water. Then the doctors surgery down here was full on, checked everything from DVT (because I have varicose veins in that leg), very high dose of antibotics, dressed every 2nd day.
That's really my only criticism of the event up there, they needed a bit more than surf lifesavers who couldn't find anything in their medical box because it was so old and not restocked regularly, that's a bit slack for a an Island that has a huge amount of tourists each day.
