On-cross-on is a nice angle for gumbys like me.
Gully off the beach for pool-table flat speed runs.

Another gully for bump and jump and some good ramps for a while.
~~Bigger surf.~~ (surprisingly head high sets)
Clear air out the back, fully powered up. Bigger bump and jump.
Perfect water, temperature, size for me. Long-as-you-want runs. I even had a fricking Albatros fly alongside me for 100m it was so Disney perfect.
Ok, wind was 8/10 and a bit patchy towards the end, inside the surf.
Overall 5 big, shiny grins.
And to think I almost didn't go. My good, good wife convinced me.
Wasnt it warm and sunny today almost like spring.
Nothing super at wello prob 15 but sailed 4.5hrs 125km

For those who've not been there, back in the early 2000's there was a defined gutter that had great flat water at mid to low tide, but over last couple of years it was no longer there, now it's back again and even better . When wind turns on shore you can get runs a few km long from tugun down to the groin at greenmount (can see it in photo) up and down the beach on water as flat as the north east side of wello on a westerly
Should be great in late winter when we start to get the coolangatta-only northerlies phenomenon
