So a week out and the early predictions are looking good, very good!!!
Could we get better than last year???
Anyway, the event will again run over the two days. Sign on will be before 11am on Saturday morning. We will also run an AGM for the SEQ Wave Sailing Club on Saturday morning at 10:30am for club members.
The event will be run the same as last year in that as soon as it blows just get on the water, at the end of the two days a few of the club members along with some ring-in judges will decide the winners of each division. At this stage the divisions will be open, masters and amateur. If we happen to get some women or juniors enter we may open up these divisions as well.
If the conditions continue to shape up the way they are at the moment it will be an event not to miss.
Many thanks to the sponsors on board so far - Neil Pryde, JP-Australia, Surf FX, Oz Windsurf and Keiki Images. Oh and the Red Bull girls will be along again giving out drinks and providing us with some shade.
Looks awesome fun,
Anychance i could get some more info on the event?
Perhaps a google map of location, entry fees, attending fees, etc. i tryed following that ozwindsurf link, but couldnt find anything.
If i did compete, which division would i be in? Never wavesailed before, born 08/01/92...
I met two mediterranean/southern european girls at manly on sunday which were asking about renting gear, i got the impression that there kickass sailers, as they didnt want any lessons just rental gear. Perhaps who ever spots them next, tell them to compete in your new womens division :D
