Obviously; the poster is stirring sh1t.
Yea windsurfing is better....who cares apart from us????????
But It cracks me up with the common argument, who friggin cares about windsurfing vs kitesurfing, the fella just asked a honest novice question and you all wank on?
Why bother replying all you do is look like tossers to anyone with half a brain, that may have just stumbled onto the site with an honest question......
Get over yourselves and answer the mans question, or better yet type nothing!
And as for "Windsurfing is a longer learning curve than kiting" quote by decrepid where do you base your conclusions? they both have there various differences one is not easier or harder than the other, and yea I've done both so bow out on the BS...........
p.s for the wankers ....no spelling mistakes

An honest novice who has posted 284 times on the kite forum ? lighten up !

dude wats so bad about kiting its better than ur sport and we can be out on the water in lighter winds than windsurfers and the same winds as windsurfers so overall KITING IS BETTER!!!!!
and if u have noticed us kiter's go bigger harder and BETTER

Has any1 ever see a good windsurfer go bigger than a good kiter??????
Didn't think so
I'm not thinking of being rude but have any of you ever attempted kiting???
If not how can u jump to conclusions so quickly!

How about this one?

Reckon a kiter could be out in those conditions? Not to mention the airtime.

As for the rest of your post, your evidence for "KITING IS 4 TEH WINZ!!1" is irrefutable, and we all concede defeat.

Nearly. Not a bad effort. A few apostrophes missing and grammar needs attention but all in all an acceptable readable standard.

One day you too may be old enough to realize that kiting is not worth the inherent risks to life and safety, of yourself and others.

I'm a long time windsurfer and I'll gladly give kiting a go. Next time I'm down the beach, one of you kiters will lend me your 3K+ kit for a crack won't you? By the way, windsurfers can see the kiting chicks just as well as kiters...they do sail in the same places.

Actually, you're quite right, Haircut. I apologise for posting it. Big air vs. small air. Holden vs. Ford. Swans vs. Lions. Proves nothing.

"Discussions" of this type are puerile.

It wasn't a genuine request for information to start with, and it degenerated predictably.

Like a articulate (rare?) kiteboarder said to me "You get out of it wot you put into it".
Here are some tips if u want to have fun on a sailboard -

* Harness hook should be below peenis.
*Straight legs for max speed.
*Front hand on uphaul rope for best control.

Looks like I may have to rethink this one, I based it on what my mates who've swapped over to kitting tell me.
But thinking about it, they learned to windsurf ages ago, probably on very old gear, not fair to compare learning on that stuff with what's available today.

How about a loop... complete end over end loop.
Can it be done on a kite ?
Forward or back rotation all the way over !
