Going by the behaviour in their forum, 2nd and 3rd would not be applauding like in the pic, they'd be on their iPhones abusing the winner and talking about how good they are
I read an article, think it was in U.K. Guardian and they interviewed the male and female U.K. contestants for 2102 olympic RSX.
One was going to go on to race in mixed catamarans and the other thought they'd give kite racing a go! Well there's love for the sport ! Is it just populated by medal-hungry sailors? To me I've never raced, it never looked relevant, they don't show it anyway and I doubt it helps the sports profile or uptake. I won't miss it.
