I'm thinking that Crispy should introduce the movie by talking about what surfing means to him, his life, his friends etc. He explains how a joke idea for a board became a concept and how likeminded people in many cases with nothing more in common than surfing itself wanted to be part of the project.

He goes on to say that Steve Del Rosso the same as everyone else simply wanted to contribute to the idea. This is the segue to the design and shaping scene.

It's less about an actual surfboard but more of physical representation of friendship and the connection people have via their love of surfing and the ocean. The board travels from one person to the next and each explains what surfing has done for them, any interesting stories, surf travel etc etc.

There on the beach lies the dude, one arm lovingly draped across the beergarden board the other clenched near his mouth with only the thumb protruding into it. His body glistens is the morning rays from his nightly drooling, the air is tinged with the sent of flatulence, reminiscent of a felafel with too much cumin.

Oby speaks

“Fk'n good surf mate, ow wus the arvo sesh”

The dude replies

Cn'oath mate, fk'n good, you wanna take er out”





What do you think? Is it starting to take shape?

Perhaps it could do with a bit of refinement?

What would each be wearing? Loin cloths?

Can't wait to see the end product. Hoping to get some smoking footage from around here. I'm hoping to get water footage, and beach footage. Plus I have at least a half dozen stills that capture the scene down here. I can do 40 seconds of voice-over for the associated stills. Trying to keep it short and sweet!

That opening was captured years ago....see below.

Does anyone know if the following would be possible in the editing?

You've got the camera mounted on the board, and rather than take it of after a sesh, you keep it on as you put the board on the roof, obviously with the cam upside down, and you drive to the next beach with the cam running.

You then get the upside down footage, and edit it so it's the right way up, speed it up and show the journey from one break to another.

Is that doable?
