SP My heated vest arrives soon will let you know how it goes . Meantime I have been following Riverriders advice and putting a short vest over the top of the steamer works really well on those cold windy ( real windy ) days .

glad i didnt sell the log now i foot of glass. spent two hours practising cross stepping and trying to fade the take off. super fun morning

Nice 2-3 foot sets rolling in , trying to work up the courage for a lunch time surf , f..k it's cold . Snow to 600 meters overnight , to 400 meters tonight , cancelled the lawn bowls yesterday the oldies were coming down with hypothermia . You know it's cold when they cancel the lawn bowls , and still no heated vest . We will see what happens

Had The afternoon surf . Not great only 2 foot of swell with the odd bigger set . Hard to pick what was coming through from the sky the clouds were sitting so low . Water not too bad . But not too shamed to admit wore the ugg boots to the rocks before kicking them off and sliding into the booties . Don't know how the ugg boots would go in the water or I would have left them on .
