I dont like the full mal style noses on these boards, maybe thats why you call them "pumpkin seeds" dj. Much prefer the pulled in nose , more surfboard style, less rail to get caught up on late steep drops
Bnaccas, that is the way they come out. What you are looking at is the actual 2D rocker profile for the 2D plan shape. The PDF file actually measures the OC (over curve ) of the design. I have to redo the design to get the real 3D rocker profile to match the plan shape.
That amount of tail lift really loosens the boards up. I think I explained my reasoning earlier in this post.
A couple of pics for the gang.
This is the bottom of Brooko's new shooter showing the box set up.
This is a profile shot showing the rail colouring, it is a bit glowy.
Should be some waves for the early tomorrow.
Rod
Hey Rod, (or Brooko)
Do you have a photo of the profile of the deck, showing the curve? I'm guessing the board has been shipped but maybe Brooko could you post a pic? You might want to put a straight edge across the deck.
I havnt received it yet Bren I just tracked it via star track, it is in melbourne should be here monday or tuesday We have had crap conditions down here, hope it goes off shore sometime this YEAR Will get some pics next week.
Brendan, if you look at page two of this post you will see the PDF of Brooko's board with the rail shapes, they have a flat deck and this is how the finished decks look. I'm at home with a couple of sick kids today.
Texta on the blank, the boards are thick and stiff enough for stringerless, especially the wooden deck ones. I have just finished and uploaded to youtube my first clip from my GOPRO, It is currently at the processing stage. I'll post the link shortly, it is 4min15.
Rod, do you get much flex in your boards? I know I used to feel my old Bonga flexing in anything 4ft or over when it got a bit bumpy. It could just be the construction of Southpoint boards.
I notice a little in my Oxbow but far less than the Bonga.
