Here's a scenario:

Mr Big has a surf with his son, he posts some pics and a story.

Jack Flynn red thumbs his post for no reason, his name shows up as red thumbing.

Everyone thinks Jack is knob....... If you can see Jack is being a knob my guess is Jack wouldn't do it in the first place.


The argument is that pressing the thumb isnt saying anything, if your name is beside it you are saying something. It could even generate discussion.

Is Jack Flynn really doggie or legion.

Jack Flynn could really be Farq Feral from FarqSUP who objects to Mr Big saying little Big was loving his WotSUP board... Either way if everyone knew Farq was thumbing Big the reason would be obvious and immediately discounted and would create bad media for Farq. In that case it would be a FarqUP.

hmmm, after reading the last couple of pages, i could go with red thumbs, but with accountability.

i don't see it as fair that someone takes the time to post and somebody goes this is too easy and red thumbs them for whatever reason or agenda they have.

and lets make no mistake, a fair amount of the red thumbing is agenda driven and has nothing to do with the post its self.

even adolf can't deny he red thumbs people because he doesn't like them. i would rather force him to get one of his withering tirades going and i've been on the end of a few

however at the end of the day i would like to see the thumbs gone altogether. its a forum isn't- say something!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laurie I'm confused - On your 1st post at the start of this discussion do you click red or green for yes or no to red thumbs. It isn't clear?

Fair Dinkum, I've put up with this for nearly a week, greatest apologies to Laurie as I understand he is under a lot of pressure from certain quarters, but is this a forum about stand up surfing/paddling or is it about digital insertion[}:)]. ???? There are plenty of other sites where you can get your jolly's if that is the case. Lets get on with the real business of, HAVING SOME FUN, TALKING/WRITING SOME CRAP AND BEING TOLERANT OF OTHERS OPINIONS!!!! (except for those damn Canadians)

Why should you not know who's disagreeing with you.
