I can't speak for all girls but in my experience I don't go SUPing because it bores the crap out of me. I have been dragged along many times by my seriously addicted partner (who is on this forum as well, but whose name shall remain anonymous to protect the guilty!) I am not afraid of the ocean, I am not afraid of sharks or big waves, and I regularly get out on other craft and love it, but I just didn't get the chip that deludes my brain into thinking that anything about stand up paddle boarding is fun. It may be in the name..."stand up"? Meh, personally I'd rather sit or lie down, and "board" well, that was the word that immediately sprang to mind after my first 20 minutes or so trying to manoeuvre a barge with a teaspoon. It feels inefficient and time-consuming. Maybe a lot of chicks just aren't strong enough in the upper body, but the guy above also has a good point about the boards being too large and heavy for any sane person to want to carry one about.
Anyway, I came clean to The SUPing addict who shall remain nameless the other day, and admitted that I can't stand stand up paddle boarding, and now my board and paddle are for sale on this site :)

I think I love you

Now that is funny. In a way I'm glad my wife is not into it. She has her stuff I have mine, if she spent too much time with me she'd probably leave me.

Dunno, maybe I'm a product of my highly-pc work environment but could the apparent shortfall in fem-sup have something to do with this:

??

Just sayin'

I'm guessing that in this case you might have to hire the women. Not real sure about that. How much would you have to pay a model to paddle on a smelly canal, in a bikini, wearing booties.

I love SUPping & cold water certainly doesn't bother me, but recovering from a broken ankle, I tend to stick to the river, at the moment. Unfortunately, work also gets in the way of getting out on the water more often. More practise & better fitness & hopefully I'll get out & do a downwinder sometime.
