I managed to get a couple of shots of the new 12'6 Pene - but the site wont let me up load the images - I guess you will just have to see it at the Noosa Race.

Ahhh, you're killing us with the suspense. This is the race board I am very tempted to get - assuming not too many more of those silly 12ft and under races pop up.

Has Woogie test ridden it yet? If so, how does it go?

Don't mean to keep you hanging but the computer wont let me load anything.

Sorry it is side ways

The great thing about working close to an artist like Stuey you get to put ideas out there.

LOL very funny Scotty or if Woogie paddles fast enough they could be tuna tubes. He might have to add a set of scuppers as well.

Thought you would like some more photos - this board is for the surfing side of things - Just got it from the factory and it is ready for a test spin tomorrow morning - rain hail or shine.

It's 12'6"x 28 1/2" at deck level (24" at the waterline) x 5 1/2". It's quite a wide square tail, kind of like my 14' with 18" lopped off. I dropped the deck way down to help stabilize things and allow Woogie to apply even more power, the only problem with this is you need to be able to effectively shed water that may become trapped in the concave, hence the open tail, I'm 90% sure this will work but won't really know till Woogie tests it, hopefully this weekend.........

Looks great Stuey.. .. I love the twin exhaust.

Looking at that pic from the rear it would be easy to think the top is the bottom and visa versa..

Can't wait to see more pics of it.

Great paint job on the wave board.

Have heard that it has changed from Monday to Tuesday - reason being they want to get the pro's done in good surf. Best bet would be to email Al or Phil

The long range forecast for next week is great so far but I can see the 5 km Pure Light Race having a course change as the Noosa River month will be to narly to get out of. They have been thinking about running it off First point up to Granite Bay out around a buoy then back to first point.

Not so good for the spectators as I did a dry run to see if I could make it from the Bridge at Loins Park to the Noosa River Mouth with two kids in tow. Now I will have to trek out to the Boiling pot and watch from there.

Hey Jodie, any feedback on how the 12'6" twin-exhausterator goes or any more photos? I'm kinda nervous/excited because Stuey is planning to do my 14' in the same style.

My night time mental rambling are running on overdrive.....wonder what happens on a wave - maybe water rushes in and accelerates you down the wave....hang on, what about a little rubber flap valve thingy hinged from the top of the bridge, water goes out but doesn't come in.....what if I step back doing a spin pirouette bail out and ending up with a 14' clog jammed on my left foot....I know nothing, Stuey knows everything.....Woogie is amped - must be good....a week to go.....suspense is killing me.

The flap system works well on other craft. They have it on a surf boat i used to be in a number of years back. The water drains fast when you are going forward. Talking about surfboats i was run down by the Burliegh Club about 5 weeks back in the large swell off Pt Cartright. It was sideways with a ski attatched to it and slidding along the face of the wave. Had to abandon the SUP and swim to the bottom. Hapy outcome with neither the board or me getting hit. Can't say the same for the ski paddler.

This is probably better in here to follow up.

If your doing the SUP race you will feature on RamboCam, same goes for the SUP Surf events.I'll be filming on and in the water and from the rocks at Nat Park.

Post the vids here couple of days later.

If i get the gear working in time for this weekend, i may have a "live feed" also from a cam via the Telstra NextG Network and streaming to the net in real time.

I'll Post the link to the streaming site here if it goes ahead. You will only need a browser and media player with your firewall disabled. Will look similar quality and size to this with a chat window as well.

Cheers Rambo

I think it is 50% so 3 from each heat. Simon Dodd is Newcastle SUP.

Last I heard heats are on Tuesday.

Casso - don't count out Paul Winters as he is a local and has been out there practicing during Hamish.

Not sure about that. We will check with Guy Walker to make a more reasonable plan for the Honolua event.

By the way the SUPSA is back on track again! We will start a new thread soon on this. We can use SUPSA to help get some uniformity set up on all of these issues.

A new committe has been set up to steer it forward from here:

Ross Munro is President
Mike Manning (that's me) is Vice President
Chris McCall is Secretary
Troy Pease is Treasure
Phil Gregory Events Organiser

More on this later....
