Just noticed Stuart 'Suplove' Murray came in 43rd in the solo in a touch under 7 hrs. A great effort as I reckon he's pushing 50. Apologies if you are only 40.

No apologies needed you got me. From reports this once the hardest M2O in years and my first attempt. I raced in the solo unlimited over 50 and took a time of 6.53:17 as well as third place. Any hardware I can get from Hawaii is cherished(see photo ). It a personal pinnacle and highlight training for and finishing this race. 8 months training. I rate it above pioneering the 111km Hawkesbury classic in 2008. It is radical how hard it is getting to the start line healthy and relaxed let alone do well. Here are a couple of pics.

Kissa it's an adventure of huge scale. Freaked out my boat had broken down Saturday afternoon. Found it sat night swam out to it at 8pm at night and retrieved my paddle. 7 litres of fluid with electrolytes and protein one power bar 6 gels and two salt tablets. At one stage I thought I had been paddling for three hours and the boat captain told me "we'll done you have been going for an hour and a half" ouch
