C'mon goat-boater..ooops sorry, surfskier. Everytime i surf the Alley there are goatboats and clubbie skis sitting miles out. Sounds like someone dont like a bit of competition for the waves that they have for so long claimed as their own.

Great discussion,probably the best this week,hang on its only Monday But as Lacey said I enjoy treats with a bit of passion as surfskier has.

Free ocean and its just called respect, don't be a knob. I was out on this Sunday just gone and with 20 odd SUP's out there it is hard to get waves so it does get a bit dog eat dog. I know if i go on my short board i don't go to the alley it a soft wave and there are so many other better spots to go, so to me short boarders can suck it up a bit. I know most of the good surfers there and they still get any wave they want and i have never had a issue with them. Now goat boats please don't take offence but i know if i was on my short board i would probably fade you and not think twice, i know its wrong but it says in surfers law that its OK to do it. Long boards will cease to exist in the future as they all cross over to SUP so there is no real issue there!!

With 20 SUP's in the water there are not 2 many waves left for any one else so just share a few and if youi want 2 get waves by your self then maybe go some where else. I give a lot of waves away when i go out and still get my quoter. We all know there are 2 or 3 **** heads out there which i have tried to talk to and they don't really care so what to do? Maybe just fade them on every wave they get for a while and see if they get the message?

I know maybe the guy on the smallest board gets first choice of waves and the guy on the biggest board gets last choice?

yep ... there was probably too many sups on the one peak on the wide bank at one stage there BUT to be fair, we were all down the wide bank and that's where we stayed. There was plenty of unridden waves on the 4 inside banks that I spyed.
Supping at the Alley has come along way in the past 2 years with most of us now sitting permantly sitting on that wide bank, and encouraging all that come down there get on that wide bank ... there is two dead set certainities about surfing the Alley, there will always be one or two SUPS who will paddle inside but hey, ****e happens. .. and just as there will always be a mal rider or shortboarder whose roids are playing up, stubbed his toe or whatever and has the ****es with the world so he or she will abuse everyone.
Can I ask one thing Surfskier, can you name or decribe who it was that pissed everyone off?
If it was the fat bugger on the white board with the black skull with a red apple on it's head pasted to the deck .... yeah he's a kook ....

I have surfed for 30 years on surfskis and will for 30 more as well! I have no need to sup and judging by what i saw on sunday hardly consider what you do surfing.enough is enough, lets get on and live amicably in the water at laceys. close

I'd hardly call that living amicably. I'd hardly call much of what I see most ski riders doing surfing either.
