Sorry Brooko....but I dont mean to bag Portland by saying it's the "wrong part of Vicco" I know you have some great waves.
All I am sayin is that we have had weeks & weeks on end of good fun clean waves, far less frustrating than waiting for the right time of year to come around.
I don't need to have power to have fun, I'm greatfull to have what we get, so long as it's uncrowded I'm out there
It can be shin high, prefectly clean off shore, 2 or 3 mates out, and nose rides for 500 meters..it's a blast
But of course a bit power can add to the fun level
This was one of the smaller days of last weeks waves.....how much power does one need to have fun?
For a week or so in the middle of this month we had small clean Bells reef area waves very few surfers around.....at my age of 52, I'd much rather that, than battling 50 guys for a wave on a 6' day
Check this out....yesterday I took a mate for a surf, he's not been on a sup EVER! or a surfboard for 20 years....look at he fun he's having on a day the surf report said mow the lawn! Powerless prk....now that was Gold
