I'm sure that was his mistake not being clearer. It probably comes from Dave's personal design style, which is to make all his boards paddle pretty straight, even when "it does" sacrifice some other areas of board performance. That's my personal opinion from testing all the C4s, and many of the PSH models. Everyone has to pick their compromises when designing.

I think the Sub Vector is Dave's best work. It's definitely one worth testing.
