How are the tires standing up to being thrashed about??
Ron

At the current rate of wear, they should last forever.[}:)]

Unfortunately, its because I haven't really even used the beast. I need wind!!!!

Will keep you posted, tho.

I was looking around the web for some wheel information and something just passed through my head[}:)] Yes TP1 it could have been a bullet
The thought happened to be about Brakes on Land Yachts; Thinking about the Power source of our sport and it dynamic I would think brakes would be a dangerous addition in certain circumstances ie. We are traveling fairly quickly and are hit by a goodly Gust which lifts our upwind wheel. If we hit the brakes under this scenario would it not offer further resistance to the forward motion of the LY increasing wind pressure on the sail in turn lifting the wheel higher leading to a crash. Add to this a turn adding Centrifugal Force to an already bad situation = Crash ?? We are better without a brake unless coming to a halt among a other yachts and parking. I personally find that if one swings around and brings the machine in upwind that I can quietly come in behind my Ute, use a foot to quietly stop and step out of the Razor without incident. So what need a Brake. Parked nose upwind and tether the front wheel to the Tow Bar and go take a "Jimmy Riddle"

Some time back somewhere in these threads I mentioned doing stents in my heart plumbing and there are now recent developments I feel that I can update you guys on.

It seems I do have a heart and I have pictures to prove it

All be it very small.

The other main development is that Jenni' and I have only just returned from the Hobart Royal Hospital and it seems that I will be on the table on Wednesday for a Triple Bypass so the Land Yachting is going on hold for a couple of days. Talk about Fight or Flight mode... For a guy that pokes Crap at anything and everything I am right on the verge of Heading for the Scrub, my nerves are all over the Shop at this point in the proceedings. The silly thing about it is there is only a 1.5 to 2% chance of not making it off the table, Cripes ! That is better than Life Odds let alone the reduction in the odds with some of the other crap I do. None the Less I am as nervous as a Cat in a Cage full of German Sheppard's.
Ron

PS; Actualy there is better than 100% chance of me making it off the Table only 1.5 to 2% of not making it alive

Glad you clarified that last point Ron, was ready to jump on that (if not me then I reckon TP1 after your last post about him ).

I'm heading off to do some hunting and sailing in NSW so before I go I'd like to wish you luck. No need to worry, it doesn't do you any good as its out of your hands. Catch you when I get back

This will give you a chance to do some design work on a new yacht, while you are recovering from your plumbing upgrade.

Cheers from the west, Chook

Thanks Lads,
Now I'm not being ungrateful but the Dessertyank has the idea of a get well wish Actually I was hoping to start a new Good Luck wish for these threads when I mentioned in one the Wish "Crash and Burn" but "Break a Leg" is good as well.
[}:)][}:)] I have been told that I will not be able to lift more than 1 to 2kg for the next few weeks so I guess I am going to need assistance with taking a "Jimmy Riddle" (Ask about someone will tell what that means) Any Volunteers
Ron
PS Next week?? Yeah! Probably.

You'll be fine.... though if it's anything like a Brit hospital, take your own food or that percentage will mean nothing!

Cheers Col

P.S Think they'll have a bit of pipe and a bag for the 'jimmy riddle'.

I did not realize that a heart condition altered one's perception so radically as to become unable to differentiate between grams and kilos.

Godspeed.. And try not to drive them too crazy.
