Ok!
Brians Q first. Brian Don't go there. If not used correctly that can be dangerous (refer to Paul) I have fitted a Jam Cleat to the boom. It is easy to use but if you get into trouble and forget the rope is locked down---------------A over T is an Aussie expression (Base over Apex is another). It allows me to rest my hands and arms on a long straight run but none the less I have to be ready for gusts. The Razor has one saving Grace A CF Mast that catches the shock load offering me a little protection. Watch the footage and the sail . The answer is there for all to see.
Sailing with a the sheet rope cleated

... I hope you have the ambulance on speed dial, would you drive a car with the accelerator jambed with a brick?
If you need to use a cleat your sheeting system it's not set up right, you might need larger diameter pulley blocks, pulleys with bearings, a larger Dia. rope or a ratchet pulley.
I noticed you had to untangle the pulley and rope from around the attachment behind the seat... if that was in a tight race with other yachts around you would be a massive problem looking for a place to happen.
