Up early dan for a sunde, checking if there will be wind

if you look closly near the leading edge you can see the gopro mounted to the center strut.
I can't be sure but I think as the kite landed hard on the water with leading edge down it may have caused a small tear.
It was looking good even after relaunching, but when it was at 12 while getting the board on my feet the kite felt a bit funny so I looked up

But it flew again on the trip, we taped it back up and was out again on another 20kn day

That was my 9m
The other one was my 13 that has the duck tape on it, while the rest of the crew started on a downwinder I was actually giving a 15 min rigging lesson to a biology teacher who said he bought some stuff off the internet ( I thought I should do a good dead for the day).
I was actually hooked in and let him feel the bar and turn my kite a little, for some reason he kept pulling on one side, I pulled harder on the other side but he just kept pulling in some sort of panic mode as he could see the kite going down

.
And this beach is at a river mouth and has half of Fiji's dead trees on it

And to quote the biology teacher who happened to have some duct tape "Thank good this is the good duct tape I bought from the US, the stuff they sell here has sh!t glue"
And to think before my two fiji trips this year there was not a mark my kites
I recomend anyone going away to go to the local sailmaker and buy a large offcut of stickyback sail cloth and put in their board bag just incase (it weighs nothing)
And a kite repair kite
If u wanto kite every day you have to be prepared to fix anything
