I'm pretty sure you pay at the counter .not cheap tho i think it is at least $20 per kilo
Last time I had 2 boards and one kite and had 24 kg .Col had 2 boards and 2 kites and was right on the limit .Don't forget you actually have 27 kg allowance .20 kilo of checked in and 7 kg of carry on.

Yep I think it was 10 kg hand luggage and 20checked
I think you can get away with 21.5kg checking and 10kg carryon

Dont forget you allowed 1 carry on bag plus small handbag/laptop
So maximise these as they didn't check the weight of these last time

If you got some heavy stuff put it in the carryon, just be carefull it's not stuff customes will confiscate, scewdrivers, sharp things and things that might go bang :-D

Jetstar do not have a sporting goods allowance (that I know of)

And I think I noticed during the flight booking you could buy an extra 5kg for about $80,, but never seen anything for 1kg lots, Also remember it being about 18-20 per kg at checkin.

Just me via train .Col picked me up at 3 am last time .i'm catching the 2.46 train .Gets me to the airport a 6 am .Everyone else has other plans

Looking at todays and last nights forcast runs it looks like the wind next week will be there but not as strong as the first forcast runs were predicting so I would still be packing a lightwind kite as well as a higher wind kite .Don't panic the wind is very cross shore and you can have fun in light winds .The swell is looking epic

Well to balance the ledger (vs hunter valley gusterlies on flatwater) Wind was good .i personally kited all but 2 days (needed the rest .no sunburn(thanks to Craig's zinc on the lips and plenty of ozone layer ) mozzies ,not maozzie time and went armed with aerogard.Cols point was still verrry nice and lach's ledge up at namatakula claimed me as a victimd (big wipeout and lost board but thanks to Holly and Ric my board was s found ) )
two big downwinders and lots of new and very nice clean lefts were found) Another good trip and looking forward to next years trips)

Looks like a good trip otherwise, bummed I missed it. I'll be back next year for sure though. Starting to get pumped for a good season here in the meantime. Here's hoping anyway.
