Should twin tips in the surf be banned?
Or should some kind of designated area be setup for them similar to the windsurfers?

It seems like the twintip style is too different to surfboard waveriding for both styles to exist together safely.

Whether it be the lofty boosts through the line-up or out of control riders sliding down the wave face, I'm just worried twin tippers are likely to cause injury to others riding proper directionals.

That will help cull the blue blubbers and hopefully teach all the surfconnect short tacker
graduate's who haven't the slightest idea about kite etiquite and safety,helping other's

pps.. if kiting at sandgate I'd suggest you carry a knife to cut the line's of the
kook's who have know idea. Before they take you out!

Agree they are a pain as they are always trying inch more upwind, but I started on a TT in waves just to get used to the feel. Now its gathering dust.

Luckily my usual spot is mostly surfboard riders riding mostly unstrapped and often on old surfboards and makes for a much more chilled out and friendly environment.

Are you joking !!! I ride strapless surfboard in the surf most of the time but when it hits 25 + knots I love grabbing my twin tip and hitting the ramps for a awesome boosting session . You must be joking .

Well it seems like the places with separate craft zones works well.

The people that wanna do lofts can be put down the beach a bit. You could probably even zone them in with the windsurfers.

I hate regulation but it could be the best option.

I do see some of what SB is saying (although I don't subscribe to his doctrine at all)... Those TT dicks who sit right in the flat section before the wave set (where you are coming down the line) mowing the lawn like some retarded water boys. I ride with plenty of good TT riders in the waves that get just as frustrated as the SB riders. And if the wave is good enough and you are good enough to go big you shouldn't be landing in the lineup either. But alas it is a middle age non athletic - should be playing golf, kook fest out there at the moment (and beyond middle age in some circumstances).

Just the way it is. As I said it is not just SB riders who feel your pain SBoy.
