Just like a good fishing tale, theres always a similar "what my kite can handle tale"

I know that some people enjoy getting their colon irrigated as they skip ass first downwind? But why?

What is the max wind speed you can honestly kite in AND still have a good time?

I'll start the fishing tale....

75kg rider on a 7m bow in a consistent 29knots....anymore and its time to get out.....(or get a smaller kite)

72 kg, cabrinha 5'3", 7m vapor, 40kts - still awesome fun

SB3 12m 105kg rider - 35knots is awesome for the boost - I love big floaty jumps in heaps of wind !

Now I need some wind to find out how much the SB IDS can handle....

Generator 7.5m, once hits 23knots, I think about jumping to 5.5m, at 80kg,

105kg rider in 25-30knots with a TD2 14m, been in 40-45 with my 9m. Boosting correctly is near impossible without a wave or big chop because there is no way in hell I could hold an edge even on my 133... but when you do nail it... that feeling you get in your stomach as you fly up = best ever... then you notice how quickly you're traveling downwind

Fat bastard, smallest kite, strong wind. Insert details here...

35 knots?? The only thing you would ever handle with 35 knots is the shoes you have so much trouble in tying every day!!

And I think 120kg would be more around the mark!! Hahahaha

Is it comfortable.....Hell No!

9m REV, northerly wind 10-30knts with squals breaking the 40 mark.

Flat water but wind coming off the land so very gusty. You could see the spray coming off the water where the squals were ripping through.

You chuck a boost just before the water spray and just as you get to the peak of the jump, the squal hits you and just about rips your ass out of your boardies on the elevator ride up.

Here's 'The Spot' just before the front hit. You can see the dust in the background from the approaching front.

85kg out in 30-35 knots on lift 8m, big jumps of the waves, crashed kite, broke batton. Jumped on friends 10m switchblade 2, 100m out to see hit a wave sent kite, didn't think I was coming down, traveled that fast downwind thought i was going to land on the beach, bailed just before the beach and got the shock of my life when i stood up in knee high water.

50 kgs, biggest gust of 43 knots (super scary) but average of 30-35 knots, 6m switchblade. i was hanging on for my life but was great fun. i was the only one out as everyone else had to go in coz of the wind.

Yes, that's right, me on a 9m !!! And I reckon that would have done me for quite a few more knots than the 30 I reckon it was...
Wind is GOOD !!!

75kg. 11m. 18 knots.

Any higher and I'm playing hold onto a mack truck or a stunt kite that if I take my hand off the bar for half a second the kite is up having lunch dancing in the clouds or is ramming itself into the drink.
