From one east coaster, don't worry, I know all people are individuals, irrespective of where they live. There are fools everywhere.
I used the word 'empathy' before, it's not pity nor sympathy, it means to imagine what it's like to be the other person. The old 'walk a mile in ones moccasins'.
Kotp is an old school windsurfer and perhaps surfer. He sees this new, fun looking, kiting thing getting all the attention, resists for a while, but then has a crack.
There is a fairly steep learning curve which he baulks at and goes back to his familiar territory.
All's well till one night he gets on the fizz and finds a bit of the simmering resentment about not picking kiting up in one day boil over.
In a minute he posts about what he perceives as a shortcoming in kiting.
He loves his old school roundhouses (who doesn't, bring back the layback).
The rest is laid out for all to see. To me, apart from a bit of fun which got out of hand, it's an interesting socio-political study.
I'll say this about Kotp, he has some rage issues, and boy, does he hate coffee and 'home and away' (a crappy aust kids soap tv show).
