Yeah, if it can do what it claims I'll still be interested. I'm curious about the chemistry of fibre repair and yet to have a satisfactory response. That it may repel dust, sand and water I can believe. That it may block UV I can believe. That it can repair damaged fibres, that is, increase their strength, I'm not yet ready to swallow. Happy to have some detailed chemistry explained to me, so long as it describes what is proven to actually happen, rather than some waffle about what they fantasise may happen.
If some existing research is not available, perhaps someone could do a breaking-strain test on two similarly worn bits of line/fabric. Coat one with the stuff and the other without, let it set, and test away.
If a product works well I may buy it, even though the seller is a tosser. I'm buying the product to serve my interests, I'm not buying his attitude or revisionist history of WW2. Still, if a similar product was sold by someone I liked of course I'd buy it first.
